India’s Global Diplomacy and the Role of Education in Shaping Future Leaders As I reflect on India’s growing influence on the world stage, especially under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and the diplomatic expertise of Dr. S. Jaishankar, I can’t help but think about the crucial role education plays in shaping this narrative. Behind every skilled diplomat and strategic leader are teachers and mentors who foster critical thinking, global awareness, and the drive to lead with vision. India’s active role in global forums like the G20, and its efforts to build bridges between nations, reflect not just political strategy but the power of knowledge and education. As educators, we have the unique responsibility to equip the next generation with the skills and understanding they need to navigate an increasingly interconnected world. The future of global diplomacy lies in the hands of the students in our classrooms today. Let’s continue to inspire them to be curious, globally-minded, and ready to make their mark on the world. #GlobalDiplomacy #EducationMatters #FutureLeaders #TeachersImpact #IndiaInGlobalAffairs #LeadershipThroughLearning

2014 to 2019 was the golden time of Pakistan MUN Circuit. My experience as a delegate in Model United Nations (MUN) has been incredibly rewarding, helping me gain a strong understanding of global issues, diplomacy, and negotiation. However, I've noticed a significant change in MUN culture over the years. In the past, MUN conferences were focused on academics, encouraging thoughtful discussions and giving students a chance to improve their debate, public speaking, leadership skills and making business from this as well. These events were about serious preparation, deep research, and meaningful diplomacy. But today, many conferences seem more like business ventures, where profits take priority over academic excellence. Delegates now often attend for socializing, taking pictures, and for less serious interactions rather than for the love of debate and learning. This shift has destroyed the true essence of MUN, with fewer people committed to maintaining its quality and purpose. It's disheartening to see such a valuable platform for learning and global awareness turn into a commercialized, socially-driven experience, losing the integrity it once had. #publicspeaking #criticalanalysis #mundiaries

Yesterday, I had a fascinating #leadership conversation with former #Nigerian #internationalstudent in #Belarus (then part of former USSR) who established the largest evangelical #church in #Ukraine (25,000 congregants, 99% white) but also in all of #Europe! And there are 100,000 members in their 1,000 branches around the world. And this is someone who was called a monkey and had bananas hurled at him by #Ukrainians just for being #Black and #influential. Three things stuck with me from our conversation, on and off the record: 1. #Nigeria and #Nigerians must do well for all #Africa and #Africans (including the #Africandiaspora) to also do well—in deed and in impression. They are the largest single Black nation(ality) on earth and are our de facto #ambassadors everywhere in the world, whether we like it or not. Roughly 1 out of every 5 or so 6 Black people you bump into on earth will be Nigerian. 2. #Leadership knows no colour. Anyone who takes the art and science of leadership seriously and develops it daily will excel. Anyone—no matter their colour or creed, age or gende,—who fails to take leadership #principles and #skills seriously will not do well. #Leading well is no one’s birthright! Who would’ve thought the country that churns out the most leadership books and programs in the world, #UnitedStatesofAmerica, would be struggling to find a single #competent, #compassionate, #character-based #president?! 3. God’s #grace produces God’s #glory. Dr. Sunday Adelaja came from a small village of 40 huts in Africa to obtain a Soviet scholarship at 19 years for a trip and #education he couldn’t have afforded to now raise over 200 millionaires through his #economic empowerment program, besides the #spiritual nourishment millions benefit from daily directly and via media, like from his 300 books! "The most successful cultural diplomacy strategy integrates people-to-people or arts/culture/media-to-people interactions into the basic business of diplomacy." - Cynthia P. Schneider This summer, Expanding Boundaries International (EBI) provided a transformative experience for students by visiting the Korean Embassy and Cultural Center in Washington, DC. This initiative was not just a cultural exchange but a pivotal step in developing tomorrow's leaders. Through immersive interactions, students gained invaluable insights into Korean culture, enhancing their global perspective and understanding of diplomacy. At EBI, we are committed to fostering leadership skills and global awareness through education and cultural engagement. These experiences are crucial in shaping adaptable, empathetic leaders who can navigate and thrive in an interconnected world. We extend our gratitude to the Korean Embassy for their partnership in this educational journey. 🌍 Participating in Model United Nations (MUN) was a transformative experience for me, even though it happened five years ago. It was more than just a competition; it was a journey of learning leadership skills and mastering the art of research. During MUN, I immersed myself in understanding global issues, honed my public speaking abilities, and learned the intricacies of diplomacy. The opportunity to represent a country and debate international policies taught me invaluable lessons in negotiation, teamwork, and critical thinking. Reflecting on this experience today, I realize how much it shaped my perspective and ignited my passion for making a difference on a global scale. It laid the foundation for my career aspirations and continues to inspire me to strive for excellence in everything I do. #ModelUnitedNations #LeadershipDevelopment #GlobalCitizen 🌐

Leadership, Resilience, and Breaking Barriers:Lessons From Ambassador (ret.) Deborah Malac In a recent conversation on TJK Foundation youtube channel, former U.S. Ambassador Deborah Malac shared her incredible journey, spanning over 40 years of diplomatic service. From navigating the Ebola crisis in Liberia to championing education and empowerment through her work with organizations like Nyaka, Deborah’s story is one of courage, mentorship, and unwavering dedication.
