From July 15th to 18th, our wheat breeding team in Passo Fundo hosted colleagues from Chacabuco for an incredibly productive visit. During the visit, they held strategic meetings with the aim of promoting group synergy, exchanging work methodologies, and strengthening team integration. The visitors explored the facilities in Passo Fundo, including quality and phytopathology laboratories, research, and the Coxilha field. This enriching exchange of experiences strengthens the bonds between our units and reinforces collaboration among our research centers. GDM Evolving Agriculture 🌱

And with todays drop of fruit from experimental plots, we mark the end of another summer program of Horticulture research by Nutrien Ag Solutions. So what have we achieved? The outcomes in grapevines alone have been epic! We have looked at new insecticide actives for long tail mealybug for use in wine and table grapes. We evaluated integration of predator insects in sequence with insecticide sprays to assess safety and determine the value of strategies for lifecycle interference across mealybug generations within a growing season. We have looked at biological compatiabilty of new fungicide options for powdery mildew in vines. Critical information to allow sound commercial program creation. We overlaid new botrytis chemistry with crop development stages and canopy structure to showcase critical variables we can influence when targeting botrytis cinerea in grapes. We have looked at safety and biological compatibility of new chemistry combinations for downy mildew, botrytis and powdery mildew in vines. Nutrien Ag Solutions - Australia

One of Levity's key research focuses is on the impact of LimiN stabilised amine chemistry, found in our Lono products, on the phenotype of crops. Our research shows that Lono has been scientifically proven to improve the phenotype of cereal crops, which is a critical building block for crop yield. Check out this video for key findings from one of our many research papers. #sustainableagriculture #cropscience #innovation

The members of the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists IFAJ are meeting in #Switzerland this year! At the IFAJ Congress 2024 in Interlaken, Eva Reinhard, head of Agroscope, gives an insight into Agroscope's systems research. As research and production are becoming more demanding and more complex, combining several methods with a partial effect is essential. Consumers also influence the environmental impact. An optimised #diet can protect the #environment as shows our research. Innovations such as new breeding methods for disease-resistant varieties or research into possible new nutrient resources such as #microalgae are also important. Thanks for the interesting exchange and the insights into agricultural systems from all over the world! #IFAJ2024 IFAJ Congress 2024 Switzerland
