Women don't need fixing! WE KNOW 🤦♀️ So why do we run leadership programs primarily for woman, that focus on inclusion and equity? Because organisations are predominately, and for the most part, built by men for men. Our programs help women navigate and advance their careers in these organisations. We are running our public Aspire program in #Singapore on November 7 & 8. It's for senior professional women who have aspirations for future senior leadership roles and executive careers. Want to know more? Send Amanda Webb or Lisa Mulligan a message and we will send you the brochure. #Leadership #Development #Learning #Career

Women leaders, ever feel like you're deliberately pulled in to manage impossible situations more often than your male counterparts? My suspicion is that the glass cliff doesn't just happen at the top, but all the way down. This is a great overview of the topic and essential reading for anyone who is, aspires to be, or coaches women in leadership positions. https://lnkd.in/dwBBSjYS

Excited to share a few thoughts on something close to my heart - the importance of mentorship in the hospitality industry. 🌟 In an industry as dynamic and people-centric as hospitality, the value of a good mentor cannot be overstated. Mentorship bridges the gap between academic learning and real-world practices, offering guidance, support, and insights that are crucial for personal and professional development. Mentors in hospitality don’t just teach us the ropes; they inspire us to exceed our own expectations. They understand the nuances of service excellence, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency, passing on knowledge that textbooks simply cannot convey. Moreover, they help us navigate our careers, offering advice on overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities with both hands. But mentorship is a two-way street. It's about building relationships that enrich both mentor and mentee, fostering a culture of continuous learning and mutual respect. As we progress in our careers, it’s our responsibility to pay it forward, sharing our experiences and insights with the next generation of hospitality professionals. Let's champion mentorship in hospitality. By investing in each other, we’re not just growing individuals; we’re elevating the entire industry. #HospitalityIndustry #Mentorship #CareerDevelopment #ProfessionalGrowth

🌟 Celebrating Women's History Month 🌟 We are celebrating Women’s History Month by sharing wisdom and advice from past Girl Scouts who are making a difference in their communities and the world! 👋 Aniesha K. M., J.D.—Vice President for Student Affairs at California State University, Sacramento 💚 Memories: The relationships I developed with other girls with shared interests and goals during my formative years helped me build confidence and leadership skills. Also, the opportunity to engage with other girls who were different from me, as well as learn from them, made me a well-rounded individual who appreciates the diverse lived experiences of others. Girl Scouts helped me better understand who I was as a person, but more importantly, who I wanted to be as a leader. 🤝 Leadership Journey: My Girl Scout experience taught me how to work in teams and be of service to others. Leadership is the highest form of service, and being a Girl Scout taught me to consider those other than myself and identify ways I can support and be of service to them. Being a Girl Scout truly influenced my decision-making process, how I interfaced with others, and instilled in me a sense of community and sisterhood. 🌱 Advice to Future Leaders: Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and trust the process. 📣 Best Leadership Advice: "Leadership is not about being in charge. Leadership is about taking care of those in your charge." —Simon Sinek 💬 Final Thoughts: I am so grateful for the experience I had in Girl Scouts. It helped me meet new people, make new friends, and taught me selfless leadership. Let's continue to empower the next generation of women leaders! 💪 #GSHCC #WomensHistoryMonth

For 25 years Minerva has worked to advance economic and leadership opportunities for women and girls in BC. Ensuring women are getting the critical skills, experiences, and feedback they need to progress is core to any gender equity strategy. Women generally get less training, and more personal – and less actionable – feedback than men. Investing in women’s education and leadership development positively impacts communities at a local, national, and global level. How does your organization support and develop women leaders? Do you have plans to develop your leadership skills this year? 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gKpuYgQi

Leader of the Year, Women in STEM Leadership | Finalist Emerging Tech Leader, Women's Agenda | Finalist Best Industry Initiative Supporting DEI, Women in Security Awards | Global STEM leadership expert, speaker, author
In STEM qualified industries in Australia: * Only 23% of senior managers are women. * These numbers are even lower for IT and Engineering professions. * Women hold only 8% of CEO-level roles. AND women hold only 18% of professor-level research roles. In my work I constantly reference these statistics. How do they compare to your STEM organisation? Having more women in STEM leadership roles is one of the quickest pathways to diversity, inclusivity and equity in STEM - this will change the leadership climate and create cultural change. You CAN create this culture change in your STEM organisation! The 1st STEP is to empower your female leaders with enduring leadership through one of Aya Leadership's unique and award winning, tailored leadership development programs in 2024. We have supported more than 300 female leaders in STEM and Security through these programs and can't wait to work with your female leaders. Commencing FEBRUARY: * Women in STEM IMPACT Program: https://lnkd.in/gPSd9HV5 * Leadership Accelerator: https://lnkd.in/gUeyiGsK * Emerging Leaders Program: https://lnkd.in/ge-WNPrn Of course, culture change requires more than just leadership development. If you would like support to create a more diverse organisational culture - STEP 2 and beyond - please get in touch to see how I can help. #stemdiversity #stemleaders #womeninstem #leadershipdevelopment #diversityequityinclusion
