There’s a short answer to this question if you’re working with Genus: we do the heavy lifting. More on how it works, below: 💡At our first sit-down with each client, we come up with an investing policy that guides the investment and impact decisions we make on your behalf, according to where you fall on the values spectrum. 🔎From there, we monitor the financial and impact performance of your investments on your behalf, making adjustments as needed to stay in line with your goals. 🌎We continuously measure the impact of companies and funds we offer, using our proprietary Genus Net Impact Score™, which gauges impact based on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, from climate action to gender equality. 👋We check in regularly to make sure your policy statement, and investments, are still meeting your goals. It advocates for a holistic approach that intertwines women's rights with climate action, ensuring that as we transition to low-emission economies, gender-specific vulnerabilities are addressed, and resources are fairly redistributed. This transformative framework emphasizes the empowerment and representation of women and gender-diverse individuals in climate decision-making processes. By harnessing collective action and recognizing the leadership of these groups, we can pave the way towards a sustainable and equitable future. As we address global challenges like climate change, water scarcity, and food security, it's crucial to harness the full potential of our talent pool. Research consistently shows that diverse teams bring about creative solutions. By promoting gender equality in science, we unlock a wealth of perspectives, ideas, and skills that are vital for developing innovative, sustainable solutions. On this International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we are proud of our 50/50 gender balance at the European Innovation Center. This is where we discover and develop FMC’s new biologicals and other plant health products. Let's continue to champion diversity to accelerate progress towards a more sustainable future. #WomenInScience #SustainableAgriculture #InnovationForChange #EqualityInSTEM #PlanetSolutions

I am pleased to share my latest article on the intersection of climate change and gender equality. The impacts of climate change are not gender neutral. 80% of those displaced due to climate change are women. They also face a 14-fold higher mortality and injury risk in climate-related disasters compared to men. The key to effective climate action is the recognition that gender equality is crucial in unlocking the collective potential to address global challenges. Read the full article here: https://broadpeak.ch/blog Special thanks to Anna Dorangricchia (Union for the Mediterranean), Jessica Espinoza (2X Global), Tatiana Gil, MD-MPH-MIH, Elena Haba (2X Ignite), Heather Huhtanen and Lamia Rhoufrani (UN Women) for their time and contribution. As this article concludes our Gender Equality Trilogy, thanks again to all the experts of the 1st and 2nd article for their time and valuable insights: Heather Doyle (ex-The Global Fund), Basma Gaber Wennholz (ex-The World Bank), Leonore Grünberg, Maria João Pereira Coelho (ITCILO), Nadine Puechguirbal, Ph.D.(ex-United Nations), and Elise Zerrath (United Nations). #sustainabledevelopment #developmentfinance #broadpeak

What is Impact in Sustainable Finance? How is the social worked upon in financial formulas? And what are the consequenses of bringing 'the social' into financial processes? These are key questions in my ongoing research. I wrote this report for MTI Invesemtents while I did my fieldwork in Dar-es-Salaam. It was a true pleasure to move away from the Global North driven ESG and SDG frameworks, with pre-defined indicators for 'impact' and 'decelopment', and rather work from below, inductively, to analyze and assess what the portfolio businessses actually do towards their society and environment. And then, at the final stage of the analysis, to extract the findings and align these to the Sustainability Agenda.
Press release: MTI Investment SE reveals debut impact report showcasing its social and environmental impact in 2023. 📊🌱 This comprehensive report highlights our commitment to driving positive change and creating sustainable value for all stakeholders. From empowering communities and championing gender equality to leading the charge on climate action, our investments are making a real difference. 💼💡 Download report here: https://lnkd.in/dXkK5hFW For additional information, contact Pontus Engström, CEO, MTI Investment SE: 📧 pontus.engstrom@mti-investment.com Let's continue making an impact together! 🚀 #MTIInvestment #ImpactReport #Sustainability #EastAfricaGrowth #InvestorRelations 📈🌟 https://lnkd.in/dXkK5hFW

Celebrating female environmental specialists entails recognizing their achievements, eliminating biases, and promoting gender equality. International Women's Day honors women's contributions to sustainability and environmental conservation. It is critical to recognize the important contributions that women make to sustainable development, innovation, and climate change mitigation. Women's leadership, collaboration talents, and problem-solving ability are critical for creating a more sustainable future. Encouraging young women to speak up, question prejudices, and advocate for environmental reasons is crucial. #inspireinclusion #iwd2024
