A new chapter in 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 has dawned in 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐫 with the inauguration of a 𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲. Spearheaded by Norwegian companies 𝐃𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐇𝐘𝐃𝐒) as part of the 𝐄𝐔-𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐇𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟎 project, this groundbreaking venture marks the first of its kind in Rogaland to utilize renewable electricity for the commercial production of green hydrogen. The grand opening ceremony, held at the Grand Hotell Eigersund on February 8, saw the presence of esteemed figures including the 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐉𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐕𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞, alongside various industrial, political, and scientific stakeholders. The completion of construction in 2023, facilitated by 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 in collaboration with Norwegian partner Liquiline, underscores a significant stride towards clean energy solutions. Post-ROBINSON project conclusion in fall 2024, operations will be seamlessly transitioned to Dalane Hydrogen AS, a venture jointly owned by 𝐃𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢 𝐀𝐒, 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐀𝐒 (𝐇𝐘𝐃𝐒), and 𝐄𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐍æ𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐠 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐧 𝐊𝐅. The milestone achievement has not only garnered local acclaim but also earned accolades from Ocean Hyway Cluster, Norway's premier network for hydrogen and ammonia solutions in the 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, affirming a promising future for sustainable energy initiatives.
