A brief conversation in the morning between my colleague Stephan de Ruijter and me in preparation for our visit to E-world energy & water in Essen next week. 👀 An important trade fair that will further sharpen our focus on developments in the #energyindustry. What do their trends mean for #emobility? With smart EV charging infrastructure, we at go-e are trying to build bridges between a wide range of industries, including the #automotive and energy sectors. 🚗 ⚡ I had the opportunity to inform myself about the current status of #EV manufacturers at the eCarExpo Stockholm just over a week ago. Now let's move on to the #energy sector. A close link between the two sectors seems important to me, particularly in order to counter the still widespread prejudices against e-mobility. After all, the success of the mobility transition is closely linked to the advancement of the energy transition. Cooperations 🤝 around smart overall solutions and renewable energies are in demand. Just charging the EV and meeting different use cases is not enough. 🛑 👉 Drivers want the certainty that there will always be enough affordable electricity available when they need it, even if almost everyone in our society drives an electric car. A number of smart features for charging electric vehicles are already available or are in the pipeline. Here are some examples: 🌍 💳 Shifting charging sessions to periods when there is a surplus of renewable energy and electricity is therefore particularly cheap ☀ 🚗 Local use of decentrally generated electricity 🔌 🏡 And what will come after bidirectional charging?
