New research commissioned by Friends of the Earth reveals an opportunity for the UK to boost its clean energy production. With easing barriers and renewable projects such as solar installations, they indicate that England could generate a remarkable 13 times more low-carbon electricity than its current output. By fully leveraging their existing potential, England could generate an impressive 130,000 gigawatt-hours of solar power annually. Such a leap would significantly surpass the current land-based output of around 17,000 gigawatt-hours of solar energy produced annually. With the right policies in place, we can not only meet our clean energy targets but also drive economic growth, lower energy bills, and safeguard our environment. A contribution to reduce carbon emissions and to compensate for the emissions we cause with our business activities. After a lengthy process - managed by our new associates around Tommaso Bitossi - we concluded that this is the best way for us to effectively reduce carbon emissions.
We’re thrilled to be partnering with WattCarbon to help decarbonize America’s coal country. By funding solar projects through Solar Holler, Transsolar is permanently eliminating over 200 tons of carbon emissions in 2024. A single solar panel in West Virginia reduces as much carbon as 150 panels in a more renewables powered state, like Vermont. That’s why together, we’re focusing on Solar Holler’s high-impact rooftop solar projects to put people in charge of their power supply in Appalachia, and move the needle on rolling back the state’s 89% coal-based grid. The goal? Decarbonizing where it matters most while ensuring equity, transparency, and environmental justice for communities building a better future. The recent Reuters report on EU solar growth slowdown highlights key challenges: 🔑 Key Factors: ➡️Grid Bottlenecks: Infrastructure struggles to keep up. ➡️Investment Declines: Reduced funding hinders projects. ➡️Policy Hurdles: Regulatory delays slow progress. At Reverse Energy Solutions Corp, we see another critical gap: the lack of after-sales and recycling infrastructure for solar panels. Without addressing end-of-life solutions, the clean energy transition risks falling short of its sustainability goals. 🌟 Collaboration across the supply chain—spanning policymakers, solar plant investors, energy companies, solar panel users and after-sales service providers—is essential for achieving a truly sustainable energy transition. Let’s connect to discuss solutions that can propel the solar industry forward—together 🔗Explore more⬇️ 🔗More Info about RES: https://2ly.link/20f0D #CleanEnergy #Sustainability #SolarRecycling #CircularEconomy #RES

🌞 Exciting news! New research by Friends of the Earth shows that the UK has huge potential for renewable energy. Large-scale solar projects alone could generate a whopping 130,000GWh of power! And that's not all—onshore wind farms could add another 95,542GWh to the mix. 😮 That's enough to power millions of homes! 🏠 The study identified over 374,900 hectares of suitable land for these projects, with some prime spots in North Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, and East Riding of Yorkshire. 🌍 This surpasses even the projected need for renewable energy by 2030. 💡 Now it's up to our leaders to prioritise the green transition. Let's push for a sustainable future! 💚 Check out the full article below. #renewableenergy #alternativeenergy #climatechange

🔋 Battery Storage: Powering the UK’s Path to Net Zero! 🌍 Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are a critical pillar in the UK’s transition to net zero. With over 5GW of operational capacity, BESS helps stabilize the grid and supports renewable energy sources like wind and solar. But to fully meet net-zero goals, the UK needs to increase storage capacity tenfold by 2030! 🌱 Community and Sustainability: Projects like Harmony Energy’s BESS initiative emphasize not just clean energy, but community benefits, from biodiversity initiatives to economic opportunities. 📉 Addressing Challenges: Industry leaders are advocating for better grid efficiency and streamlined planning to unlock the full potential of BESS technology. The journey to a sustainable future is complex, but progress is powering ahead. #NetZero #BatteryStorage #RenewableEnergy #GridStability #SustainableFuture #EnergyTransition #UKGreenEnergy #BESS

🌞 2 terawatts of #solar power – and we’re just getting started! The world just reached a record 2 TW of solar capacity. According to Reuters, more solar was added in the past two years than in the previous 68 combined. The challenge now is to achieve 8 TW of installed solar power in total by 2030, which would amount to more than half of the 11 TW of renewable capacity needed to achieve a UN goal set at COP28 last year. This milestone is proof that the #renewableenergy transition is happening right now. At Alight, we’re proud to power this movement, helping businesses reach their net-zero goals. Here’s to the next terawatt!
