Philanthropy advisor specializing in guiding women in their giving journeys and supporting families as they bring the next gen in to their collaborative giving
I spoke with a couple colleagues this morning about Philanthropy Camp for Women and I got this interesting question: ➡ Is it a more internal or external process? I had to think about it for a minute because I haven't thought of this program in those terms before. The main portion of Philanthropy Camp--the six sessions--is internal. What are my values? What do I care about? How do I give? How do I receive? What did I hear growing up about money? What do I want to convey to others (e.g., children, grandchildren) about money? What are the causes I want to support? How do I want to make an impact? However, there are also three follow-up Q&A sessions that allow for participants to take that newfound internal clarity and apply it in the world, but also have a safe space to come back to and share what's going on externally. Do you have a question about Philanthropy Camp for Women? Comment below or send me a DM. I appreciate these inquiries. #giving #philanthropy #community #women https://lnkd.in/gknWhqm5

Seventeen Sustainable Development Goals have been defined by the UN. Do you know what they are? Do you know where you most want to move the needle to create positive change in the world? SDG 17 is all about collaboration! It is one of the six core areas of change where Rugged Elegance is striving to have impact. Specifically with our movement “The Necessary Pause” and the creation of RE…the soulful network. Goal 17 - Partnerships are the glue for SDG implementation and are essential to making the fulfillment of the UN’s goals a reality. Thank you for this “Collective Giving” report, Haili. Love your / the Johnson Center’s key takeaways: 1. Collective giving is democratizing and diversifying philanthropy. 2. Collective giving greatly expands what gets funded. 3. Collective giving pushes the bounds of how philanthropy is practiced. 4. Collective giving deeply impacts members themselves. 5. Collective giving is a catalyst for social cohesion and change.
