We are happy to support the Inverness Castle Experience by funding the Journey Stone, a striking new landmark that will mark the gateway to the Highlands within the castle gardens. The Journey Stone, crafted from static steel-cut panels mounted into Caithness stone, forms a dynamic ‘open doorway’ effect, intending to symbolise transition and new beginnings. Roy MacGregor, Chairman of Global Energy Group, shared: “We’re delighted to support the Inverness Castle Experience and the Journey Stone project. As a proud Highlander, I believe there’s no better way to celebrate the rich heritage and beauty of our region than by creating a welcoming landmark for visitors." The Inverness Castle Experience, set to open in 2025, represents a £30 million investment supported by the The Scottish Government and UK Governments, Highland Council, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, and other partners. Cheryl Jarvis MRTPI and Jonathan Cadd from our #planningteam, joined by colleagues from neighbouring councils alongside representatives from Historic England, recently participated in an insightful #heritage skills day.🏛️🤩 The day started with a presentation about working with historic buildings delivered by James Innerdale. This session discussed common problems with historic buildings alongside how to spot and solve them. The presentation was followed by a hands-on session where Conservation Stonemason, Paul Booth, taught them about #limepointing. Lime pointing is a way of repairing and maintaining #historicbuildings and, whilst there is a Heritage Officer already in their team, it’s helpful for Cheryl and Jonathan to also understand the process so they can better advise and inform people where necessary. 👏 All of the skills and knowledge they picked up during the day will assist them within their roles as part of the planning team, further boosting the team’s list of expertise.📚 Equans UK & Ireland - In Focus

💪 I'm always proud of our amazing state. This particular moment makes me especially proud. The agreement to demolish the long-vacant coal plant along Bridgeport Harbor represents more than just the removal of an eyesore—it’s a strategic investment in the economic future of Bridgeport and Connecticut. Through $22.5 million in state funding from the Community Investment Fund, we’re not just clearing the way for new development; we’re paving a path for opportunity and vibrancy. This 33-acre waterfront site holds incredible potential to create spaces where people can live, learn, work, and play. It’s a chance to attract businesses, grow jobs, build housing, and enhance public access to one of Connecticut’s most beautiful natural assets—the shoreline. This project is about revitalizing Bridgeport and tapping into its vast potential as a hub for economic growth, environmental sustainability, and community vibrancy. By unlocking this site for redevelopment, we’re not only addressing decades of environmental challenges but also creating a destination that will draw visitors and investors from across the globe. The transformation of this property signals a brighter future for Bridgeport and demonstrates what’s possible when we prioritize equitable, strategic investments in our cities. This is yet another definition of what it means to "Make It Here." #Connecticut #MakeItHere #Development #Vibrancy #Sustainability | Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development | State of Connecticut - Office of the Governor | CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection | Katie Scharf Dykes | Daniel O'Keefe | Matthew J Pugliese

At Arcwell Developments, we thrive on high-stakes projects that demand agility, precision, and a strong commitment to the communities we serve. Last winter, we put those qualities to the ultimate test with a critical housing project in rural Nova Scotia, battling extreme conditions to deliver lasting solutions.🌨️ 🔨 Project Snapshot: We were tasked with constructing insulated concrete form (ICF) foundations for six modular homes in a remote community facing urgent challenges. With high storage fees accumulating and essential funding at risk, our team mobilized quickly to tackle this ambitious project head-on. 💪 Overcoming Challenges: Extreme Winter Weather: Starting construction in the heart of winter wasn’t easy, but we embraced the challenge. In addition time Constraints and the pressure of impending deadlines kept us focused and efficient. 🌱 Fostering Community Connections: Engaging local trades was crucial. By involving community members, we not only built homes but also created job opportunities and fostered pride in ownership. ✅ Impactful Results: We completed the project on time and within budget, delivering financial relief and enhanced housing stock & quality to our community partner.
