We're gearing up for another productive trip to the #LicensingExpo, an event that has been instrumental in shaping our journey over the years. At the Expo, we've had the privilege to engage with numerous #licensors, forging #partnerships that have significantly contributed to our growth. Over the past few years, we've successfully onboarded several licensors, fostering mutually beneficial relationships. While we meet with existing partners and solidify our partnerships, we intend to meet with licensors who plan to expand their consumer touchpoints in the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey. These regions have been experiencing continual growth across segments, Licensors who have a presence either with a direct office or through an agency have reaped substantial rewards. The question I've been asked most by CMOs, beside "How did this guy get in here?" is "If I have another dollar to spend, why should I spend it on sponsorships?" It's a fair question. And when it was asked 20 years ago, the answer was most likely a lot more art than science. Today, you can justify a sponsorship spend with any number of different tools that will measure effectiveness and efficiency of spend, ROI and other performance metrics. But, don't forget the art. When you're evaluating sponsorship opportunities, it's important to look at the qualitative aspects of the partnership. Does the property have a good reputation for servicing their sponsors? Does their mission match yours? Are the brand attributes of the property and the sponsor aligned? Who are the other partners? Would you want to be in business with them? Because in a very real sense, you are. Does the property stay on the back pages and off the front pages? So, the next time the CMO asks you that question, be prepared with the art and the science. And if you aren't prepared for that, make sure you have someone by your side who is.
