Among them, the Alliance for Justice (AFJ) shines brightly, a testament to decades of unwavering commitment to upholding the values of equality, fairness, and constitutional rights. Origins and Mission The seeds of AFJ were sown in the turbulent year of 1971, a time when the "Powell Memo" sounded the alarm on perceived threats to the American economic system. Recognizing the call to arms for the business community to influence the courts, AFJ emerged as a bulwark against the weaponization of justice for corporate interests. Founded in 1979 by the indefatigable attorney and activist Nan Aron, AFJ was a response to the encroaching specter of far-right ideologies threatening to erode decades of hard-won progressive achievements. With a vision of a judiciary that mirrors the diversity of the nation and safeguards the rights of all its citizens, AFJ embarked on a mission to ensure that justice remains blind to influence and privilege. Today is International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade, established by the UN in 2007. This year's theme is Creating Global Freedom: Countering Racism with Justice in Societies and Among Nations: "A critical way to counter racism with justice is to acknowledge the fundamental dignity, equality, and rights of people of African descent within communities, institutions, policies, laws and governing bodies. Recognizing the egregious history and legacies of enslavement, the United Nations will step up efforts to address racism, intolerance, bigotry and hatred, to advance the cause of global freedom." Issued 161 years ago today by President Abraham Lincoln, the #EmanicpationProclaimation marked a crucial turning point in the fight against slavery. Despite not ending slavery nationwide, it further ignited the path toward liberation. Before its creation, African Americans, enslaved and free, advocated for freedom through various means, pushing the nation towards a more inclusive manifestation of liberty. Their continuous fight ultimately led to the abolishment of slavery with the 13th Amendment in 1865. Today, as we work towards a more equitable South, let's draw inspiration from the resilience of those who fought for freedom and commit to dismantling the remnants of systemic inequities. As we approach Juneteenth, let us not only reflect on the terror that darkens the pages of our nation’s storybook. Let us also celebrate how the bravery and resilience of our ancestors led us to the freedoms known in our country today. Acknowledge that through slavery, deferred freedoms, and ultimately the continued fight for civil rights, the true essence of America is found. The majority of the Supreme Court members on July 1, 2024 abandoned the founding principles our Forefathers fought for during the Revolutionary War. Our country’s declaration of Independence states… ” We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness…” During the Revolutionary War, our founding fathers fought for liberty and justice against the tyranny of a King. On July 1, 2024 The Supreme Court declared that all men are NOT created equal. The Supreme Court declared that the person holding the office of the President is above the law and cannot be held accountable for any CRIMES they commit while in office if they are “part of their official acts”. Resulting in… the Supreme Court abandoning the principle that no person is above the rule of law. The majority of the Supreme Court turned the President into a King, Autocrat, or possibly a Dictator with ultimate power to do what he or she wishes. This 4th of July, we must note the passing or an era. The rule of law and the principle that no person is above the law is no more. #July4 #Revolutionarywar #RuleofLaw #Equality #justice #crime

We the citizens of the world need to get together as one to stop the dark forces to overtake, ransack, and enslave our planet and our people. UNITY CREATE STRENTH ... Billions against the few, it's not that hard, we just need to be willing to put aside our differences and create a new common front to combat the greedy and Evel neo colonialism, their greed and arrogance will destroy humanity. Everybody has the right to live in peace, and a healthy prosperous life. Being poor is not natural is created by man. We don't need to be violent because we will fall to their level, we need to be wise with critical thinking skills and principles, violence it's their excuse to unleash their power to control the people that rebel. Remember that Law and justice are two very different things, Slavery was legal in Europe, America and all over the world, but an injustice, WW2 genocide was legal in Germany but an injustice, the ethnic cleansing and genocide of the native Americans was legal but an injustice etc. we can see on how Palestina open a Pandoras Box and shows the injustice and atrocities committed to the native population on the land by a neo-colonialist European white supremacist political movement for 70 yrs., with the support of the historically neo-colonialist Western countries.... Law refers to a set of rules and regulations established by a government or authoritative body. Justice is a broader concept based on equality of rights, fairness, and morality. While laws are specific and concrete, justice is more abstract and focuses on fairness of outcomes and processes. Justice acts as a spur by which laws are enacted, enforced, modified, or quashed down.

Gove’s new definition of ‘Extremism’ It is worth quoting in full. “Extremism is the promotion or advancement of an ideology based on violence, hatred or intolerance, that aims to: 1. negate or destroy the fundamental rights and freedoms of others; or 2. undermine, overturn or replace the UK’s system of liberal parliamentary democracy and democratic rights; or 3. intentionally create a permissive environment for others to achieve the results in (1) or (2).” It is not a legal definition, therefore does not need to be followed. The words “based on” will provide an avenue of distinction, escape or defence. However, it is high time that England’s gentle tolerant society is protected from extremists.
