I couldn’t agree more with Trevor Clawson’s recent Forbes piece on what it takes to build company culture as you grow and scale. Every organization has a culture. It’s important to know what type of culture you’re striving for from day one, says Andy Fishburn, managing director of Virgin Startups, in the article. Both Trevor and Andy make good points. Finding the right leader goes beyond technical skills. Cultural fit matters. Every company will prioritize different cultural elements. Perhaps it's a focus on flexible work arrangements and continuous learning opportunities, or maybe it's fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. Whatever your company values, hiring individuals who share those values creates a more cohesive and thriving team.
