If you're a sub-par surveyor - RenKap's not for you You will be found out. Here's how: 🔍 All surveyors get a live rating ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 🔍 We track: timeframe to propose a site visit date 🔍 We track: timeframe to respond to queries 🔍 We track: interactions with clients 🔍 We track: ability to resolve client queries 🔍 + a lot more Why do we do this? We want to offer a great service to our clients whilst providing brilliant opportunities to our surveyors. We really can't have surveyors let our client's down You keep delivering = your rating goes up = you keep winning work We've delivered thousands of surveys and we have only removed one surveyor in that time - so a lot of credit is due to the brilliant surveyors in the sector

In a previous post, (about a year ago) I posed the question "How much will a boundary survey cost?" That post can be found here: https://lnkd.in/gratwfDq While cost is often a factor in hiring a land surveyor, it should not be the only factor. Other factors should include timeframe, complexity of the survey, accessibility, and overall value. Cost refers to the monetary expense , while value refers to the perceived benefit or worth provided. Cost is objective and measurable, while value is subjective and can vary from person to person. In simple terms, cost is what you pay, while value is what you get in return. As land surveyors, we should be communicating with our clients regularly throughout the project. This avoids misunderstandings, arguments about scope, and ensures the client is informed of project timelines and progress. Are you getting a valuable service/product when you hire a land surveyor? Is your land surveyor a valued member of your project team ? Is your surveyor communicating with you during the entire process or leaving you in the dark? #dioptrasurvey #professionallandsurveyor #surveyeastidaho

MC quantity surveyors: subbie bashing might make you an extra 1% profit margin on your current project. But you risk harming the relationship with your sub-contractor. An uncontrarary opinion, but building relationships with your subbies will do more for your profit margins than constantly knocking down their prices. The long game here is crucial.

Quest for Relevant Skills and Competencies. Deployment of relevant skills and competencies is crucial and germane to the growth of any profession. Quantity surveying profession is constantly confronted with many challenges and opportunities in new markets because we are not technologically taking advantage of relevant skills and competencies to sustain our business. In 21st century, the Quantity Surveyors (QS) must scale up their capacity of being a ‘thermostat’ (controller of event) rather than being a ‘thermometer’ (reader of temperature). Hence, a call for a culture change and attitudinal development of quantity surveyors and the willingness to operate at full scale to meet clients’ needs and expectations is required.

The best Quantity Surveyors in the world all fit into one single profile This profile is called SHAPERS I got the idea from Ray Dalio (a billionaire) who has interviewed, observed and worked with some of the best in the world I then observed Quantity Surveyors at work I then spoke to the top 1% about this to see if they agreed They could not agree more! They loved the concept ………. But what are shapers? ………. They are the quantity surveyors who can get their projects to achieve a 10/10 outcome They visualise what the perfect project is and they do what they can to get it there In other words they can shape a project to it’s ideal outcome They are able to influence and impact at the highest of levels They can bring in ideas that other Quantity Surveyors don’t have They can solve problems that others can’t solve They can make predictions They are strategic quantity surveyors They see what worked on previous projects and they bring in those ideas into their current project They use their previous experience to push projects forward ………. The image you see if what I created out of 1000’s of hours of research It will help you identify where you are in your career At the top, where you see impact and influence..that’s where the SHAPER profile lies Commit to getting there Make that your goal Work hard everyday You can do it
