Last month, Good+ and NY program partner staff explored conflict resolution through a lens of self-awareness and empathy at Good+Foundation’s May NY Partner Convening, thanks to insightful facilitation from New York Peace Institute. From understanding our individual conflict styles to addressing trauma responses, our NY-based partners delved into the power of active listening and curiosity in fostering meaningful connections. Grateful for the opportunity to virtually connect and learn together, shaping a more compassionate approach in our service provider community. Nurturing Supportive Collaborations: Connecting People, Exchanging Resources and Improving Practices
I want to share the Modern Slavery PEC blog they created when working together with the Lived Experience Advisory Panel, yes to this to a trauma-informed approach, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for panel members. Incorporating the voices of those with lived experience in all vulnerable areas, is essential for creating meaningful change. Their insights ensure that policies and initiatives are grounded in reality and compassion. Let's continue to support and advocate for the inclusion of lived experiences in all areas of research and policymaking. Their perspectives are not just valuable—they are essential.

Practical theologian -Social scientist -A lifelong learner-Co-founder of @BringingHopeUk- Advocate for justice, hope and shalom- with families & communities-Seeking to make a positive contribution on the journey of life
Taking some time to reflect and review what I said in 2022, and asking, what has changed?? Importantly, I am wondering what positive impact or difference have been made through my interactions, involvement and practices,in communities that are impacted by crime, violence and other social justice concerns ? Furthermore, I am reflecting on the possibilities of having a dynamic relationship between public health and faith- based approaches, towatds meaningful community engagement and development, especially when dealing with issues of concern. Just taking time for self reflection as I enter February with all it has to offer!
