In #healthcare, the #patient is the reason for our existence. For almost 30 years as a clinician, I continually conducted a #processimprovement to show my patients- "What is in it for them." Sure, I could write a goal for them based on what I thought they needed, but it would never happen if they or their caregivers were not aligned. You have to dig down during the patient interview and encourage a patient to identify a goal that is meaningful to them, combined with using your clinical expertise to achieve excellent outcomes. It does not happen in a vacuum. "Patient design is a so-called “co-design” approach. Co-design is defined as “a creative practice that can be used to improve customer experience and enhance value."
