I love these types of “seamless” (no pun intended) #SocialImpact solutions. It’s also aligned with their business- the same food delivery mechanisms and operations can be tapped into to deliver food to the underserved. I can anticipate a GrubHub impact report stating meals delivered by GrubHub, and then meals delivered by GrubHub customers. It becomes a cheering 📣 call to do more each year, complete with stories of impact.

For companies like GrubHub and other food delivery services, it’s possible for them to increase their gross transaction volume AND the number of charitable meals they’re able to donate to their local communities. According to Statista, the United States donates more towards solving hunger as compared to any other charitable area GrubHub could achieve both increased transaction volume and more charitable donations by adding a checkout option for users to purchase an extra meal for charity. GrubHub can support user’s actions by either matching a percentage of user contributions or rewarding users with in-app gamification. Thanks to Marvin Diaz for the ideas for this!
