🌍 It's #PlasticFreeJuly. How many single-use plastic containers do we all use each day? They are everywhere and hard to avoid. As more consumers worldwide #ChooseToRefuse, businesses must take note. The world is watching. What will you do?... You may not be a yogurt manufacturer, but your business can still help reduce single-use plastic waste through education and by encouraging reuse when possible. - For example, if everyone in your office starts to buy yogurt in family-sized containers and use reusable containers to hold their lunch portions, single-use plastic waste in your office will likely go down. - And make sure they understand that if used, single-use yogurt containers must be emptied of its contents before being placed into the recycling bin to prevent contamination, which can cause all the recyclables collected to be sent to the landfill instead. #ReduceWaste

Plastic Free ME: Simple changes to make a significant impact on reducing plastic waste? Switching to reusable water bottles. Our team has embraced this eco-friendly practice, even during team meet-ups at local cafés. Other ways include using reusable containers and utensils during onsite lunches and bringing our own bags for shopping. For those food items with plastic that can't be avoided at this time, it's good to know that there are soft plastic recycling points in supermarkets. How are you reducing plastic use at work and at home? #PlasticFreeJuly #Sustainability #ReduceReuseRecycle

A small adjustment to cut down on plastic waste ♻️ I recently snapped a picture that got me to reflect. I had a stack of plastic water bottles that I had been using and discarding on one side. One big bottle and a reusable thermos are located on the opposite side. These plastic bottles are the ones I've been gathering for my wife's company's recycling initiative. It was shocking to see how many bottles we went through. I became aware that I had to alter. I'm going to purchase a 5-liter bottle and utilise a thermos for my daily water needs going forward, rather than purchasing numerous tiny water bottles. I'll be able to drastically reduce my plastic waste with one tiny adjustment. #ReducePlastic #Sustainability #EcoFriendly #GreenLiving #PlasticWaste #SustainableChoices

Happy #EarthDay! 🌎This year's theme is Planet vs. Plastics, which calls for widespread awareness of the health risks of plastics and a rapid phaseout of all single-use plastics. By taking a few small steps, we can all contribute to reducing our plastic footprint. Here are a few things you can do to reduce plastic waste: 🛒 Always carry reusable shopping bags and buy your groceries in bulk to reduce the amount of packaging you're bringing home. 🍴 Refuse cutlery, straws and individual packets when ordering food for delivery or take-out if you don’t need it ♻️ Support businesses that are reducing their plastic footprint 💧 Wash and reuse plastic containers and resealable plastic bags 🗑️Put a lid on your bins to stop litter from being blown away or scattered by animals 🙌 Organize or join a cleanup in your neighbourhood 🤝 Join a plastic waste reduction campaign such as #BePlasticWise or #10000changes

Plastic Free July's campaign focuses on small changes each of us can make to reduce plastic waste under the slogan “Small steps, big difference”. So why not choose one single-use plastic to avoid this month, or take the pledge to avoid single-use cups, plastic drink bottles, or plastic food wrap. These “Top 3” items are single-use plastic items we commonly use each day that most of us can be easily replaced by; 💧 Refilling reusable water bottles from the tap ☕ Bringing a reusable cup or sitting and enjoy a real cup 🍱 Switching from plastic wrap to reusable containers or wax wraps. #plasticfree #plastic #reducewaste #reduceplastic #recycle #reuse #ecofriendly #environment #ecofriendlyswaps

Plastic free July Did you know that it takes about 500 years for the average-sized plastic water bottle to decompose and about 1,000 years for plastic grocery sacks to degrade. Judging by the label on this bottle that was picked up today, it's 21 years old! So "only" 479 years left. Reusable water bottles can be used over and over again, making them a great alternative to plastic bottles without adding to environmental stressors. By choosing an environmentally friendly water bottle, you can significantly reduce your carbon footprint and be part of the solution. #recycling #plasticfreejuly #conservation
