Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust’s Post

Happy #InternationalLEGODay! Check out these amazing models on display in our Clinical Research Facility. They were made by our patients and families at the launch of the facility last year in its new home on the 8th floor of the Southwood Building. Astronaut Tim Peake joined us for the launch where he met with patients, families, staff and children from the GOSH nursery. 👩🚀 We were also joined by Steve McCarthy, the artist who designed the space themed artwork for the facility, in collaboration with patients and families. Tim and Steve ran Lego and colouring in sessions for our patients and families in the play area. The designs made on the day now form part of a permanent display in the facility. #Research #InternationalLEGODay #NationalLegoDay #LEGO

Lego and an astronaut?! It doesn't get much better than this for many little (and bigger) people. What a treat for the children at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust

This was a great day! My little boy is in these photos and he still talks about Tim Peake! He’s going to be a spaceman too apparently!
