We’re delighted to welcome Dena Marshall as our new Chief Operating Officer at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). 🎉 Dena already has a strong connection to our hospital, having been treated by a GOSH surgeon as a child. She also previously joined us as our interim Chief Operating Officer covering a period of maternity leave. On joining GOSH, Dena shared: “I am very excited to be returning GOSH. It is such a privilege to work with so many fantastic teams dedicated to providing the very best specialist care to children and young people. “I believe that we have a real opportunity at GOSH, working with our partners, to rise to today’s challenges and improve care for children and young people from across the UK and beyond. “I know the institution changes and saves lives – including my own – and I couldn’t think of a more fitting place to serve.” Dena begins her role on 7 October, joining us at an exciting time as we review our strategy. The experience and insight Dena brings from multiple NHS settings will be invaluable. Read more about Dena’s experience on our website: https://lnkd.in/eMNC7ibz Welcome aboard, Dena! 👏
What an amazing appointment for Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust! I have had the pleasure of connecting and working alongside Dena recently. She is a thoughtful, skillful, considered, dedicated and insightful leader, practitioner and person who works at depth to intervene in her work with others. I am so, so thrilled for Dena and GOSH.

2moI’m absolutely thrilled and immensely proud to see my lifelong friend, Dena, appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). This is truly her dream role, one that is deeply personal to her in so many ways. Having known Dena since we were children, I can confidently say that GOSH is gaining a leader who is both brilliant and dedicated to making a real difference. What makes this even more special for me is that my own daughter, Liberty, is under the care of GOSH, so Dena’s appointment feels particularly close to my heart. I know she will excel in this role and continue to help change lives, just as GOSH has done for so many. Congratulations, Dena – you’re going to be amazing! 🎉
