𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗠 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘? The Certification exam can be taken online. It consists of 40 multiple-choice questions and requires a passing score of 75%. If an individual fails the exam, they can retake it 3 times in 6 months with a 30-day cooling off period between attempts. Green jobs are those that contribute to preserving or restoring the environment, such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, waste management, and environmental education. According to the World Economic Forum, the future of jobs is green, as climate change is changing the labour markets. Some of the key findings from their Future of Jobs Report 2023 are: 1. The green skills revolution has the potential to transform our working lives, as more than 50% of employees will need reskilling by 2025. 2. The green economy will create 24 million new jobs globally by 2030, according to the International Labour Organization. 3. The most in-demand green jobs include environmental engineers, solar panel installers, wind turbine technicians, sustainability consultants, and environmental educators. 🌍 Enhancing Resource Management in Southeast Europe: The Role of the UNFC In early July 2024, Belgrade, Serbia, will be the focus of an important event aimed at advancing sustainable resource management in Southeast Europe. The 'Workshop on Implementing the United Nations Framework Classification for Resources (UNFC)' will play a key role in guiding regional efforts towards more effective and sustainable use of resources.  Key Highlights: - Comprehensive Framework: The UNFC provides a robust, adaptable framework for resource classification, covering minerals, petroleum, renewable energy, and groundwater. It helps ensure that resources are managed in a way that balances economic, environmental, and social considerations. - Capacity Building: The workshop aims to build capacity among stakeholders in Southeast Europe, enhancing their ability to implement the UNFC effectively and sustainably. - Regional Cooperation: Emphasizing the importance of regional cooperation, the workshop will explore shared strategies and best practices for sustainable resource management.
