For ZEMBA’s first tender, we defined "zero-emission fuels" as those fuels that could reduce greenhouse gas emissions (like CO2, CH4, and N2O) by 90% or more compared to traditional fuels like LSFO (low-sulfur fuel oil). This was a big step forward toward cutting down the maritime freight emissions that contribute to climate change, but we’re not done yet. ZEMBA is updating its zero-emission fuel definition and life-cycle analysis (LCA) guidelines ahead of our upcoming e-fuel-focused tender🚢💨 By helping kickstart a market for these innovative fuels, we're moving closer to a cleaner, more sustainable future for our planet. 🌍 Let's keep pushing for solutions that make a real difference! https://ow.ly/ifwY50Tqp0n #ZeroEmissions #SustainableFuels #GHGReduction #ClimateAction #GreenEnergy

Advancing Our Fleet for a Sustainable Future 🚢 In 2023, we proudly welcomed Lady Maria Fisher into our fleet, following her sister vessel, Sir John Fisher. These LNG dual-fuel tankers represent a significant advancement in our commitment to reducing GHG emissions, with each vessel capable of reducing carbon emissions by 45%, NOx by 93%, and SOx by 45%. These innovative vessels are a testament to our dedication to sustainable shipping and our efforts to meet global environmental targets. Both tankers have been specifically designed for the restricted ports of Northern Europe, enhancing our service capabilities while adhering to our sustainability goals. Today, Denmark unveiled a model of the ALETTE MÆRSK, one of A.P. Moller - Maersk’s ships from the world’s first series of methanol-enabled mainliners. The model was handed over to Mr. Arsenio Dominguez, the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The Maersk Equinox methanol series is a great example of new maritime technologies and innovation that can help decarbonize shipping. We hope that this model will serve as an inspiration to the ongoing efforts at the IMO to develop ambitious international regulations that incentivize the use of net-zero GHG emission fuels.

We are on a roll this week at PortXchange [B-Corp]. The Port Emissions Report provides a comprehensive analysis of emissions from various transport modalities (vessels, harbour crafts, cargo handling equipment, railroad and trucking) within the port. It includes detailed records of ship movements, types, and associated emissions of pollutants such as CO2, CO, CH4, SO2, NOx, N2O, PM10, and CO2-equivalent greenhouse gases. This report will help your port meet regulatory requirements and environmental standards set by local and international bodies, ensuring that there are no penalties of non-compliance such as administrative sanctions or other possible penalties such as a public denunciation, an order to change conduct, and financial punishment.
