The largest hydrogen project in the Czech Republic is set to launch, featuring ten Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen buses that will operate in the Central Bohemian Region by the end of 2025. This innovative project is a collaboration between the Central Bohemian Region, ČEZ Group, and the transport company Martin Uher Bus. The buses will service the hilly terrain around Mníšek pod Brdy, covering routes 446, 517, and 688. #GreenHydrogen for #German Railways: A New Stage in the Development of Eco-Friendly #Transport. The French company Lhyfe, known for its #innovations in clean #hydrogen production, has completed the #construction of a hydrogen production plant using electrolysis in Tübingen, #Germany. This facility, located in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg, was created as part of the H2goesRail project and is designed to supply hydrogen #fuel to regional Mireo Plus H trains developed by Siemens Mobility. The H2goesRail project aims to replace #diesel trains with hydrogen #trains, which will be a significant step towards the greening of #railway transport. Regular #operation of Mireo Plus H trains on the Tübingen – Horb – Pforzheim route will begin soon, providing passengers with an #ecofriendly and quiet mode of transport. The Tübingen plant is equipped with a 1 MW electrolysis unit capable of producing up to 30 tons of hydrogen per year. The hydrogen produced at the plant is generated using #energy from #renewable sources provided by Deutsche Bahn (DB). This project is Lhyfe’s first step into the German market, but far from the last. The construction of Lhyfe’s second plant is already in full swing in Gmünd, also in Baden-Württemberg. The plant, with a capacity of 10 MW, will produce up to 4 tons of green hydrogen per day. It is planned that by 2025, Lhyfe will become one of the major hydrogen suppliers in both Germany and #France. The company is actively expanding its activities, #building and upgrading facilities across #Europe. In France, Lhyfe began operating its first plant in the second half of 2021, and two new plants were launched in 2023. These steps demonstrate Lhyfe’s serious intentions to integrate green hydrogen into Europe’s transport system. Transitioning to hydrogen #technologies in railway transport will not only reduce #carbondioxide #emissions but also improve quality of life by reducing noise levels and improving the #environmental situation. Thus, the H2goesRail project and Lhyfe’s activities are important elements in the #strategy for #sustainable development and eco-friendly transport in Europe. The Tübingen plant is just the beginning, and new achievements and innovations in green hydrogen are ahead.

💧 ⚡ Strasbourg welcomed the 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 on last March 12, inaugurated by R-GDS. The station, which currently supplies the European Parliament fleet, can deliver 700kg of hydrogen per day, enough to recharge 30 buses, 70 commercial vehicles, or 150 light vehicles each day. David Colomar, CEO of EIFHYTEC, a partner of R-GDS, revealed that the number of 𝘃𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲. His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands officially inaugurated a new #electrolyser for #greenhydrogen production near Utrecht. Developed by Hysolar, the facility is located at the KWR Water Research Institute in Nieuwegein and was brought to life through the LIFE NEW HYTS project, funded by the LIFE Programme. This cutting-edge facility represents a major step forward in advancing green hydrogen production and its role in the #energytransition. Green hydrogen is vital in the move towards a CO2-neutral future, providing #sustainable solutions for transport, machinery, and various industrial sectors. The new electrolyser in Nieuwegein will produce 300 000 kg of green hydrogen annually—enough to power around sixty buses or trucks. The global demand for hydrogen trains is rising sharply due to increasing urbanization, environmental awareness, and a focus on energy efficiency, with the market projected to reach US$ 3.4 billion by 2030, according to a report by the Insight Partners.
