Attention hiring managers, Top performing sales talent (sellers consistently hitting and exceeding quota) don’t want to work for you. Why would they give up their ideal situation to take a gamble on you, with little to no assurances? If they truly are crushing quota they wouldn’t be looking in the first place. Please have some sense about the economy and macroeconomic backdrop the last few years, especially in SaaS. You want the best but promise very little in return. Wake up!!! Hiring continues to be a broken science and excercise in futulity. Looking for the square peg in a square hole is no longer feasible in a human capital depleted market. Nor does it usually result in long-term tenured employees. Hiring processes should be focused on identifying candidate’s transferrable skills through experience and less upon their knowledge of a certain industy or vertical. Your best candidates can’t even get in the door because they’re seen as “not qualified”. Something needs to change… #sales #recruitment #hiringbias
