Grosvenor’s Post

Over the next few days, we’ll be conducting an archaeological dig with the community to explore the hidden stories beneath Grosvenor Square. Alongside local residents and members of the Mayfair Youth Forum, this unique opportunity allows us to delve into the site’s rich history ahead of its exciting transformation. In preparation, the group took part in an induction day at MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology), where they learned essential techniques, explored real finds, and gained an understanding of the process that will guide the dig. Hear from our volunteers about their experience and what they’re most excited about. #GrosvenorSquare #Archaeology #CommunityEngagement #ShapingPlaces #PeopleAndPlanetPositive

I’m so pleased that the dig has coincided with the end of the sub zero temperatures in London! Hope you all enjoyed it!

Can’t wait to see the finds that are uncovered and meet you all again. Let’s hope for more American serviceman WW2 dog tags and vulcanite stoppers !
