🔹 Today's Highlight: B.C. Expands First Nations Health Services with 13 New Primary Care Centers, 10 Opening This Fall
"British Columbia is launching 13 new First Nations primary care centres, with 10 set to open this fall. The First Nations Health Authority and Health Ministry announced that, once all centres are operational, B.C. will have a total of 15 such clinics.
Health Minister Adrian Dix stated this expansion is part of efforts to eliminate Indigenous-specific racism in the province's health-care system.
The centres will provide integrated primary care, social services, and Indigenous health supports, operated in partnership with local First Nations.
Facilities opening this fall include the Coast Salish, Gitxsan-Wet’suwet’en, and Nuxalk Primary Care Centres. Three additional centres, including mobile medical units, are in development."
