MAKE YOUR FOOD YOUR MEDICINE, PLANT A GARDEN. What I find most fascinating is the mention of the health benefits of some of the vegetables. As a trained and practicing Herbal medicine Practitioner, we all need to go back to nature, our people in the villages mostly don't go through the illnesses ravaging the urban cities. They get most of their foods fresh from the farm, they don't cook and put them in freezers, they cook what they need per time, but urbanization and our very busy lifestyle have taken most of those experiences from us So what can I/we do? 1. Make your food your medicine, so that your medicine do not become your food. 2. Try as much as you can to reduce cooking for one month..... eat fresh, so you can have enjoy their inherent health benefits. We can plant a few of these vegetables, even as flowers in our balconies. 3. Watch what you buy, where you buy them, eg beans, those ones without holes are mostly those that have been sprayed with SNIPER, so also vegetables with no holes at all, might have been over sprayed with insecticides or pesticides. 4. Government and it's Agencies need to develop the Herbal Medicine Practice, don't make the process too cumbersome, (especially for herbs and spices that people consume on daily basis) such that makes people circumvent the system. Lastly, reach out for counselling about your lifestyle, nutrition, diet , emotions and behavior. About 50% of health related conditions will be resolved this way, the rest can then be through herbal remedies. Kudos to the Lagos State Traditional Medicine Board. I just graduated from there and have been licensed to practice as a General Practitioner #herbalmedicine #gonatural #eatfresh #plantagarden

So, after a really interesting conference at #AberTB, tomorrow l am travelling to an AHDB - Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board meeting in Stoneleigh) to discuss how the industry can work together to eradicate #bTB. Whilst there lots of different views on how to get there (TB eradication, not Stoneleigh!), we should all be united in the view that M. bovis is the enemy, and work together to do what we can to improve the situation for cattle, farmers and wildlife.

The left-side post is one I shared during the Gotabaya Rajapaksa government, and the right-side post is about new government positions on wildlife and farming. Do you see any difference? Both are clowns, in my view.
