Wrapping up my conference circuit at Slush with EIT InnoEnergy and Beamline Accelerator was a highlight of my year. Amidst the dynamic energy of Slush, it was fantastic to carve out a space where like-minded climate tech professionals could come together and share their experiences and challenges. My two main takeaways from our event: 🌱 Early Stage Caution: Founders, be mindful of your Cap table right from the start. An imbalanced table, like an accelerator owning a large stake, can deter future VC investments. 💡 Adapt to Economic Shifts: With deal volumes declining in the current economy, there's a noticeable increase in grant funding. It's crucial for founders to strategize on securing non-dilutive funding, particularly for their First-Of-A-Kind (FOAK) projects. What are your thoughts on these insights? Have you encountered similar challenges in your ventures?
