27% of the workforce in Germany has a migrant background. As our colleagues, neighbours and friends they are an integral part of our society and our workforces. We at Hamburg Aviation stand fully behind the campaign launched by the DIHK (German Chamber of Industry and Commerce): We cannot and do not want to do without them in our companies. Only with these 27% can we achieve 100% performance in the economy. Hamburg Aviation stands for inclusion, diversity and acceptance. That is why we are participating in the nationwide DIHK initiative. Yesterday, the Belgian Presidency of the Council of European Union, under the leadership of Transport and Mobility Minister Georges Gilkinet, hosted a successful event focused on shaping a sustainable future for the aviation sector. Through engaging panel discussions, diverse stakeholders tackled issues surrounding competitiveness, social rights, and future aviation legislation. The event yielded several key takeaways ✈️ Safeguarding European airlines demands a level playing field both internally and in comparison with non-EU counterparts. ✈️ Collaboration between airlines, unions, and regulatory bodies is crucial for upholding the social rights of aviation crews. ✈️ The need for a more cohesive and robust legislative framework specifically addressing social rights within the aviation industry was strongly acknowledged. ✈️ Highlighting the importance of fair competition in upcoming aviation legislation is seen as a key step towards strengthening European airlines for the future. At E4FC, we wholeheartedly echo these sentiments. New leadership at the EU level later this year, presents a unique opportunity to tackle the challenges facing the European aviation head-on. We remain firmly committed to supporting policymakers and stakeholders in building a European aviation sector that is both competitively strong and socially equitable. Kudos to all the panelists who enriched the dialogue! Wouter Dewulf Emmanuel Vivet Dorothea von Boxberg Alejandra Cruz Ross Yves Jorens Ana Vieira da Mata Patrick A. Every story starts with a Yes Lufthansa ✈ Recently, I had the pleasure of watching the highly praised Italian movie "There's Still Tomorrow" at ARRI which blew my mind - why? ⬇ Before the movie started, I saw Lufthansa's newest ad, which claimed that every story starts with a yes. It was so emotional and unexpected from a traditional brand, and it fit perfectly with the movie that was about to start. Movie Spoiler ❗ The movie, directed and acted by the impressive Paola Cortellesi, deals with domestic violence in post-war Italy. There were moments during this movie where the whole audience hold their breath and were wishing her to find a way out of this misery. And even though the audience was led to believe that an old childhood sweetheart would be her salvation, the ending with this unexpected twist caught us all off guard. Deciding against another man, saying no to him, and saying yes to herself and her daughter and all women in Italy with going to vote as a woman for the first time in Italy's history, and using her new gained right, to make a difference in this country, made me speechless. Especially in this day and age, when women and other marginalized people are being denied their rights again bit by bit, especially in Western countries, this film is so important. Because it shows how much we still have to do and how little has been done in some areas in the last 80 years. The next man may not save you, but saying yes to yourself, to your story and to fight for your and our all women's rights will support us all in the longterm #womensupportwomen 💡 Facts: 03. June 1946: 25 Mio. people voted in Italy - 13 Mio. of them women - 21 women were elected and took part in the drafting of the Italian Constitution. The women elected sustained the all-levels equality principle, obtaining important results mainly in regards to labour, wage, and protection of maternity. ➡ I highly recommend this movie and would love to hear your thoughts about it. Today marks the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, and as the Human Rights Officer of the @LufthansaGroup, I want to emphasize our commitment to preventing this crime. Human trafficking violates fundamental human rights, and it is our responsibility to combat it within our Group and supply chains. At the Lufthansa Group, we have updated our policies and due diligence processes related to modern slavery and human trafficking, with a focus on forced labor and child labor. We have also assessed the risks within the Group and supply chain and have a Human Rights training program with a special focus on human trafficking in place. As a member of the UN Global Compact and a signatory to the International Air Transport Association's Resolution against human trafficking, we are dedicated to aligning our actions with international standards. We believe that raising awareness and visibility of this crime is crucial for its prevention, and we are committed to actively establishing a firm respect for human rights in our daily business operations. Let's continue to work together to combat human trafficking and ensure a world where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect. #HumanTraffickingPrevention #LufthansaGroup #Respect #HumanRightsAwareness #HumanRights #RespectHumanRights

With the upcoming European election in just 3 days, it’s vital to recognize that decisions made now will shape the future of transportation and, in turn, the well-being of communities across our region. Now more than ever, investing in public transportation is crucial for ensuring accessible and sustainable mobility for all Europeans. Public transportation is more than just getting from A to B — it’s about connecting communities, reducing emissions and overall creating healthier cities. By collaborating with PTAs and citizens, we want to ensure that everyday mobility becomes a central focus of the new European mandate. This is particularly essential as the EU faces a multitude of challenges that could widen social divides. #TheMobilityCompany
4 days to go! In the run-up to the #EuropeanElections, at Transdev we reaffirm that it is imperative to make everyday mobility a priority for the new European mandate at a time when the #EuropeanUnion is facing multiple challenges that could widen the social and democratic divides. ✔Decarbonized mobility is transforming the way we travel. 11 trade unions and professional associations welcome the Lufthansa-#ITA deal - We have sent a joint letter to the European Commission expressing our support for the official approval of the Lufthansa Group-ITA Airways merger. Strong European #airlines are of vital interest to people and business in our countries. We need independent connectivity and therefore must protect our common market against unfair competition from non-European airlines. This is the reason why we as Italian, Austrian, Swiss, and German trade unions and professional associations support the partnership between Lufthansa and ITA. It is crystal clear to me that fair competition in international air transport can only take place on a level playing field. But this level playing field is impaired not least by the #Qatar open skies agreement as well as unilateral climate protection regulation as part of the #FitFor55 package. Both harm European airlines and provide their non-European competitors with unfair advantages. Against this background, it is crucial that Europe retains its strong independent airlines. Lufthansa's partnership with ITA is an important step in this direction!
