What stories are you telling yourself about what you’re capable of? How have dominant narratives affected your beliefs in yourself!? It can be hard to see the many, layered, and multifaceted stories and beliefs we’ve absorbed over our lifetimes. These can come from so many different places and people; from family, friends, cultures, societies, tv, music, school, the list goes on and on. We spend years not even realizing that these hidden beliefs are affecting us in sometimes positive, but mostly negative ways. I am still uncovering limiting beliefs I didn’t even know I had, that I’ve absorbed from individual, groups, and systemic oppressors. This is why I am so passionate about helping others uncover their strengths and in that, we also uncover what’s holding people back. Too often it is these kinds of innate or hidden beliefs and biases that they didn’t even know were affecting them. This is the ongoing challenge and danger of symptoms and systems of internal and external oppression. They are insidious, ever-changing, like a shifting virus trying desperately not to be found! Like shame that can only live in the darkness, these too die in the light of realization. Share in the comments, is their a limiting belief you’ve become aware of? Where do you think it came from? #lgbtqia #bipoc #women #smallbusiness #deibestpractices

I wholeheartedly agree with that sentiment. To say "women can do anything men can do" is like stating a minimum threshold – it's true, but it only scratches the surface of their potential. The real power lies in recognizing that women aren't confined by any artificial standards, male or otherwise. They don't need to live up to some pre-defined notion of greatness or righteousness, a yardstick often molded by a male-centric perspective. Instead, women can forge their own unique paths, define their own versions of success and fulfillment, and rewrite the narrative of what it means to be extraordinary. Their capabilities are boundless, spanning every field and endeavor imaginable. They can lead companies, build nations, create art that moves continents, or simply nurture those around them with the quiet strength of an unsung hero. Their dreams and ambitions are theirs to own, free from comparisons or limitations. This isn't about proving themselves against any standard, but about embracing the boundless potential that lies within each and every one of them. They are innovators, scientists, artists, athletes, healers, leaders, caregivers, and so much more – all at the same time, if they choose to be. So, let's raise our voices in celebration of the extraordinary women who have shattered glass ceilings, defied expectations, and redefined what it means to thrive. And let's continue to nurture a world where every woman, young or old, is empowered to chase her wildest dreams, knowing that her potential is limited only by her own imagination. Remember, the possibilities are not confined by gender – they are infinite. #womenempowerment #womeninbusiness

PREACH! It's a powerful reminder that valuing our work is crucial. In the beginning, it was tempting to lower prices to attract more customers, but experience has taught me that this strategy can be counterproductive and can even tarnish the reputation of the business. I've learned that offering a service that's too cheap can send the wrong message about the quality and value of the work we do. ✅ It's important to remember that if people are willing to pay premium prices for brands like Jordan's and Michael Kors, they will also recognize and pay for the quality and dedication that small businesses offer. I’ve decided to stand firm on pricing that reflects the worth of my services and the dedication I put into my work. This approach not only supports the growth and sustainability of my business but also ensures that I attract the kind of clientele who value and respect what we offer.

As Women in tech, here are some of the challenges that we face while making investments. Olive Nkirote ✓ Fear of money conversations ✓ Risk aversion ✓Upbringing and family belief system ✓Time poverty influenced by societal standards ✓Cultural norms That is just the tip on the ice berg 😉 But also remember, tech isn't just about coding alone Jennifer Jonathan and it's not as complicated as it sounds. Give it a try, and if it doesn't work out for you, go and try something else. Necta Richard M. PS: If you empower a woman, you're empowering the whole generation.
