🇺🇸🇪🇺🇩🇪 The second Transatlantic Big Science Conference -co-organized by Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY and Carnegie Science - is underway! After the successful inaugural event in Washington DC in 2022, we are now hosting 150 participants from the U.S. and all over Europe in Berlin. Over the next two days, we will discuss scientific topics of mutual relevance and cooperation opportunities in fields such as bio-preparedness, quantum technologies, AI and renewable energy materials. Cross-cutting policy topics such as research security, open science and science communication are also on the agenda. Maintaining and strengthening our outstanding connections with U.S. partners such as the National Labs under the stewardship of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is a key priority for the research centers of the Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft.
