When Venkatesh Pagidimarri, Victor Gebhardt, and I started Foundation AI in 2018, people in the legal space weren't talking about AI. In January 2024, AI is everywhere. Ten days ago, I shared the stage at The National Trial Lawyers Summit in Miami for a panel about how lawyers can leverage AI to solve real problems for their firms. I'm typing this on a flight to New York City for #Legalweek, and nearly every session on the conference schedule is about AI. I'm excited to see so many conversations happening for a couple of reasons. 1. AI is a game-changing technology for the legal industry. 2. It's really important to differentiate between pie-in-the-sky AI applications and products like Foundation AI that can actually solve real problems. These conversations are necessary right now, as 2024 is going to be the biggest year yet for AI in legal tech. If you're in New York and want to connect, dm me. Are you going to be at Legalweek?

Best Lawyers - Lawyer of the Year - Personal Injury Litigation - Defendants - Miami - 2025 and Product Liability Defense - Miami - 2020, 2023 🔹 Trial Lawyer 🔹 Commercial 🔹 Products 🔹 Catastrophic Personal Injury
If your firm or legal department is considering adopting AI, I suggest: * Identify the tasks you want to do with AI (legal research, contract drafting, summarizing records, litigation and trial brainstorming, etc.) * Identify the platforms that can help with these tasks. * Reach out to the platforms for demos and free short-term licenses to test them. * Evaluate whether you want to hire a third party to create your own platforn based on your data. * Evaluate, based on what the platforms do and their cost, which platforms to purchase. * Decide upon, purchase. and roll out the platforms you agree upon. * Train your team on the platforms. * Lather, rinse, repeat.

**🌐 AI in Law: Will We Need More Lawyers or Fewer? 🤔** Hey everyone! Let's talk about something that's on everyone's mind these days: AI and how it's changing our daily lives. But here's a twist – what does this mean for lawyers? Are we going to see their numbers go up or down in the future? We all know that the legal world usually gets on well with new tech. But this time, it's a whole new game. Think about it – could we reach a point where we trust AI so much that we let it handle our most important papers? Could robots be our new lawyers? On the flip side, maybe AI will make business stuff so much smoother that more people will start new projects and businesses. That could mean they'll need more advice from real-life lawyers. In that case, will we see more and more legal professionals utilizing AI to perform better, and potentially start their own business? I've got my own ideas about this, but it's really something only time will answer. What's your take on this? Are we looking at a future with more lawyers because of AI, or fewer? I'd love to hear what you think, so drop a comment and let's chat about it! The legal landscape is constantly evolving, and the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) is undoubtedly shaking things up. Today, I want to spark a discussion about AI's potential impact in the realm of personal injury law. Here are some thought-provoking questions for my fellow professionals: Could AI-powered tools streamline case analysis and evidence discovery, freeing up valuable lawyer time for strategic thinking and client interaction? Might AI algorithms assist in predicting case outcomes and settlement values, leading to more informed decision-making for both clients and attorneys? What ethical considerations arise when utilizing AI in legal matters? How do we ensure transparency, fairness, and the human touch remains paramount? I believe AI has the potential to be a powerful tool for good in our field, but it's crucial to have open and honest conversations about its implications. Share your thoughts in the comments below! #artificialintelligence #legaltech #personalinjurylaw #lawyerlife #futureoflaw #cordiscosaile

Last week, our Senior Director of Innovation Sam Moore had the privilege of attending Legal Innovators California in San Francisco and participating in the panel "Harnessing the Power of Generative AI in Legal Practice.” When Sam debriefed with colleagues and fellow attendees Anusia Gillespie and Ian Gillespie, MBA CSPO, they all noticed a similar theme throughout the event: 🚀 junior associates need “future skills,” and they need them now. 🚀 So, what are future skills? ❓ Where do law firms currently stand when it comes to addressing this urgent need? ⏰ And, how can they take a more proactive approach? ✔ Check out Sam's blog post to learn more: https://lnkd.in/gffEPSkW #legalinnovatorscalifornia #juniorassociatetraining #futureskills #generativeai #genai

An interesting article by The American Lawyer on implementing AI in the legal industry states that "firm leaders universally agree generative AI will make legal operations more efficient." But at what cost? Am Law 100 firm leaders have questions and concerns over the development of junior associates - learning AI and its prompts over actual legal work, the leverage model of Biglaw and their profitability, and the amount of work that will be available to mid-tier firms and their ability to take on more business. The next few years shall be exciting as we see AI reshaping business how we know it. #FutureofLaw #AmLaw100 #LegalTech
