What do graduates wish for? – Job fair experiences 2024 The main purpose of a job fair is to establish a direct relationship between students who are still studying and their future employers. There are large crowds at employers' stands, often there is quite a short time to talk to candidates in depth. Still, it is very important to make a good impression and stand out from the crowd. In recent years, the WHB GROUP has been a continuous participant of job fairs organized by the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the University of Debrecen. The most important focus of our presence is the education of young people, building and raising awareness of the employer brand among university students. In April 2024, we visited job fairs in Győr and Debrecen in this spirit, where we helped and provided information to inexperienced career starters in preparing for job search. At both events, it was revealed that the most important criteria of Gen Z are: rapid professional development and flexibility (in working hours, space, tasks, etc.). The benefits package was third in the ranking, and we were surprised to see how confident they were when it came to the event when it came to salaries and fringe benefits. In the case of both university job fairs, visitors could participate free of charge in various personal counselling, mock interviews. "We believe that the key to WHB GROUP's results is the excellent professionals in our offices and project locations. Our most important task at the job fair was to capture the attention of engineers starting their careers in this completely different environment. The main advantage of our group over its competitors is that the engineers of the WHB GROUP do not only perform partial tasks, but also participate in the entire project implementation. Kentucky Career Center (KCC) would like to personally invite you to their online “Let’s Talk Tuesdays” virtual job fairs. Here’s how it works: On the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month, from 1:00pm – 3:30pm, they host online job fairs so you can connect with employers from home, on your cell, at your local library or wherever is most convenient for you! This is a great way to talk with several employers at once and explore local jobs that are now open. Their next event is May 7th The events are for “All industries/All jobs” type of opportunities. One of the requirements to complete your registration is to upload your resume as a .PDF file not a .DOC file. Here’s a tip on how you change it. If the file was previously saved, select File > Save a Copy. If the file is unsaved, select File > Save As. 1. Select Browse to choose the location on your computer where you want to save the file. 2. In the drop-down list, select PDF. 3. Select Save. Use the .PDF resume when you are registering for the virtual job fair. Here’s a “how to register” video.
