Style and sustainability can go hand in hand.🤝And our latest SportStyle innovation, the NEOCURVE™ shoe, is a testament to that. The NEOCURVE™ sneaker is made from ASICS’s discarded shoes, recycled directly from our own bins.♻️ Although created to promote circularity, it does not compromise on performance or design, which is inspired by the early 2000s tech wear. Every step of its creation— from material collection to manufacturing—has been thoughtfully executed in Europe, ensuring a mindful approach to our planet. This sneaker represents ASICS’ commitment to reducing the environmental impact in the sneaker industry while honouring quality and style. By grinding up our leftovers into something new, we’re innovating our approach to footwear production to help our future. Because to achieve a sound mind in a sound body, we need a sound earth. We are ASICS. ‘Anima Sana In Corpore Sano’, a Sound Mind in a Sound Body. #ASICS #Innovation #ASICSSportStyle #Circularity #SoundEarth

VAUDE and Evoco have joined forces to combine high-performance with sustainability by integrating FATES™️ Bio-Foam in VAUDE’s Enduro and Trail mountain biking footwear lines. 🌿 “Working with Evoco has enabled us to meet the high-performance demands of our mountain biking footwear while upholding our commitment to environmental sustainability. Evoco's plant-based foam technology not only reduces GHG emissions, but also delivers exceptional flexibility, optimal comfort, and control. We have successfully integrated their Bio-Foam insoles into five different shoe models, and the feedback from our customers has been overwhelmingly positive.” says Fredrik Fuhrmann, Product Management Footwear at VAUDE Sport. 💬 Designed for performance first, these Bio-Foam insoles boast an industry-leading 72% bio-content, certified by both GreenCircle Certified and the USDA Bio-Preferred program. Thanks to this high level of bio-content, the Life cycle Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions of this product are up to 70% lower than the conventional oil-derived Polyurethane commonly used for this application (substantiated by a third-party verified, critically reviewed LCA performed in accordance with ISO 14044:2006). On: Redefining Sportswear Through Innovation and Purpose Founded in 2010 by Caspar Coppetti, Olivier Bernhard, and David Allemann, Swiss sportswear company On has become a powerhouse in running and outdoor footwear. Under the leadership of CEO Marc Maurer, On has achieved a rare feat: combining business growth with a strong commitment to sustainability. At its core, On’s success stems from a business model that’s as innovative as its products. Three elements stand out: 🔷 Community-Driven Design: By engaging runners and athletes in the design process, On ensures its products meet real-world needs. This co-creation model fosters loyalty and delivers shoes that resonate with performance-focused and lifestyle-oriented customers alike. 🔷 Direct-to-Consumer Model: With a thriving online presence and carefully curated flagship stores, On connects directly with its customers. This approach offers control over the customer experience, strengthens the brand, and has been a major driver of its double-digit sales growth and profitability in recent years. 🔷 Circular Business Model: On’s Cyclon program is a standout example of sustainable business innovation. Customers pay a subscription fee to receive fully recyclable shoes made from castor beans, returning worn-out pairs for reuse. This closed-loop system aligns with growing consumer demand for sustainable products and reduces waste. Today, with over CHF 1 billion in annual sales, On is more than a fast-growing brand—it’s an inspiring example for how companies can integrate product innovation and business model innovation to deliver value for customers and create positive impact for the planet. On’s journey is a testament to what’s possible when strategic business model thinking, creativity and purpose come together. Who else is inspired by their approach? #BusinessModelInspirations #SustainableInnovation #BMIStrategy #Entrepreneurship #TransformingIndustries #OnRunning

Gearing up for 2025, a big question for the running industry seems to be whether sustainable practices and performance can coexist to meet the performance demands of runners. Recently, at the end of last year, Mount to Coast and BASF partnered to develop a biopolymer midsole technology that blends sustainability with high performance. It’s a promising step forward and one example that has shown potential to meet the performance needs of serious long-distance runners. Thoughts? Can sustainability and performance coexist in footwear while meeting the demands of serious runners?

Don’t forget, our Trailbacks can be re-soled. The environmental impact of resoling boots is significantly positive. By extending the life of your footwear, you contribute to reducing the waste that goes into landfills. Re-soling your footwear teaches the value of quality over quantity, prompting consumers to purchase well-made boots that can withstand resoling multiple times. This approach to footwear aligns with the principles of a circular economy, where products are designed to last and be continuously reused or refurbished, thus creating a more sustainable world. Re-use, recycle, upcycle. Do the best you can for the environment. Trailback Boots with Sole www.trailback.co.uk #recycle #circulareconomy♻️ #protectnature #upcycle #re-use
