For the second year in a row, members of Hilltop’s Women’s Momentum Executive Committee volunteered at the Genesis Women’s Shelter by organizing the Genesis Thrift Store. Together they helped put newly donated items into the store and organize areas of the store. They even brought in some of their own things to donate! Local toy drives have a special place in our hearts because they directly impact the lives of children in our very own community. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a world of difference to a child who may otherwise go without a gift during the holidays. By donating to local drives, you're not only spreading joy but also fostering a sense of togetherness and compassion. Where can you donate? Big Brothers and Big Sisters of RI: This local organization collects clothing and soft fabrics for children in need and distributes them to families within the community. Local Churches: Many churches in Bristol actively participate in toy drives during the holiday season. Check with your local parish to see if they have a collection. Schools and Community Centers: Keep an eye out for toy collection bins at your local schools or community centers. If we can become aware of others and what the community is hosting this holiday season, one purchase, one drive, one thought can directly impact someone else this holiday season for the better. We extend a huge thank you to Assistance League of Atlanta, which has recently partnered with 3Keys to donate essential items for our residents. This partnership means that our residents—many of whom arrive with little to nothing more than the clothes they are wearing—will receive welcome kits with new bedding, shower shoes, pots and pans, laundry pods, towels, and much more. Assistance League of Atlanta is also assisting with our activities program by donating supplies that enable us to continue offering meaningful activities for our residents. Partnerships like this are critical in helping us support our residents as they transition from homelessness to stability. #endhomelessness #nonprofitpartnerships

A recent community report from Elan Financial Services discusses the connection between charitable giving, local businesses, and customer loyalty based on a survey of 2,504 U.S. consumers conducted in April and May 2022. Key Takeways: 1. 43% of bridge millennials and 42% of millennials would move their accounts over to FIs that charitably support their local communities. 2. 74% of consumers donated money to charity in the past year, and 42% volunteered their time. 3. 93% of consumers who say their FIs were generous with their charitable contributions are very or extremely satisfied with their primary FIs.

In 2024, more than 3,300 volunteers came together to serve over 8,300 hours toward the causes most near and dear to us.
