🌟 At the heart of every successful organization lies the alignment of Culture and Role Design. Let me share a story that underscores just how imperative it is for these two elements to align: Not all marketing coordinators are created equal, nor are HR coordinators. The nuances within roles can make all the difference in someone's success within a company. Take, for example, the recent experience of filling a benefits specialist role. The business had a clear understanding of its culture – polished, professional, yet warm and welcoming. They weren't just looking for an administrator. I look at this post and some comments. And I believe many people commented on bad faith. I do believe before following the wave and spit on the post with your comments, It would be good to at least do a little research about: -the institution itself (is it a non-profit or a for-profit). If a non-profit, -it is grant funded or relied on fundraising? -how does their financial projection look like (previous tax report-can be found here: guidestar.org or irs.gov) -headcounts And so on… from there you could make a solid case and comment. Also, many people out there are looking for higher level title in their resumé to step up in their careers. That might be the best job for them. Please, as most of the bad comments are from recruiters, I do believe you could just reach out to the person who made the post and ask questions. Also, many of you here are not even replying to your email to support people on job search if not getting paid, please do better. Stop being hypocritical.

Hiring an HR VP - Hi Liz, what should I look for when I’m hiring an HR VP? Look for someone smart and ethical who will tell you the truth when you don’t want to hear it. - OK, how do I test for that? Test for it? Have a conversation with them. - We use a lot of assessments, and I wondered if you had a favorite assessment for that characteristic. Assessments are awful and have nothing to do with recruiting in 2024. Any HR VP canddate who agrees to take a test is the wrong person. You’re looking for a trusted advisor, not an underling.
