Seven Greenways: A Cooperative Vision for Water in the Arid West | Design Workshop https://lnkd.in/ghdUqnQz Design Workshop facilitated coalition workshops to gain consensus on objectives and aspirations. Case study examination of successes and confronting failures was a useful framework for identifying pervasive topics. The group discovered large-scale reciprocal efforts that would have the most sustainable success. This was formulated into a 100-year vision for big change to be possible through smaller actions. Before this project, individual cities competed for small local grants, causing a sense of scarcity. This has changed with the plan’s compelling cross-government projects applicability for exponentially greater funding. Key guide for the HE sector - worth a read
The decarbonisation of higher education estates is a top priority for institutions, yet it often appears daunting due to cost, process, and alignment with corporate strategy. Drawing on our experience in decarbonisation, We have partnered with AUDE to develop "A Guide to Decarbonisation." This guide addresses broader barriers to decarbonisation beyond technical challenges, offering practical solutions tailored to the unique needs of teaching institutions and organisations at any stage of their decarbonisation journey. Many HE institutions have ambitious net zero targets, but moving from ambition to delivery requires careful navigation of complex budgeting, resource management, planning and delivery considerations. A new guide published by AUDE_news aims to help universities start to answer some of these difficult questions, whether this be to build an effective #decarbonisation plan or review an existing plan in a new light. A great piece of work led by Andy Sheppard. #WeAreArup

If you work in urban landscaping or are responsible for city planning and development standards, set aside 30 minutes to listen to a presentation from one of the world's foremost experts on soil, the Technical Director and Founder of SESL Australia, Simon Leake. An expert consultant over the years to Citygreen, we were fortunate to have Simon share his genius on all things soil and it's relationship to trees at this year's #Where Shade Hits the Pavement Summit. With over 40 years of experience, there isn't much Simon doesn't know about soil science, rehabilitation, and reconstruction in mine sites and urban renewal projects, field pedology, soil chemistry, soil physics, waste-to-land application, and environmental contamination. Access the full presentation at Citygreen Academy as an on-demand, free, course module https://ow.ly/KhYx50SC747.
