Hooray! This week the Institute for Positive Health (iPH) and Positive Health International (PHi) took an important step in the international expansion of Positive Health philosophy. 🚀 PHi has been collaborating with iPH since the start, with the signing of the Partner Agreement (iPH vignette), this cooperation and future expansion have now been formalised. This agreement ensures that the quality and core principles of Positive Health are upheld, both in the Netherlands and internationally. Karen van Ruiten, director of iPH, is enthusiastic about the collaboration: ‘We are delighted with this cross-border collaboration. It is valuable that Positive Health is now also applied in several European countries, Iceland and Japan. Thanks to this cooperation, we can further shape our international expansion. As an expertise centre, we are happy about that, because sharing and multiplying knowledge in the right way, even across borders, is what we believe in.’ With this agreement, PHi, in close cooperation with iPH, will further develop the Positive Health movement outside the Netherlands. Agreements on translations, trainings, digital tools, research, publications and implementation are part of this partnership. The aim is to strengthen joint ambitions in the Netherlands and abroad. The focus of PHi is to firmly implement Positive Health in 3-5 countries in the upcoming years, where we started with the countries Germany and Belgium. In our previous post, we shared the key points from the visit of EIT Health InnoStars to Brussels, which was facilitated by Blue Door Consulting in late January. The discussions were informative and covered various EU policy areas, such as health, and innovation. To shed more light on these valuable discussions, we have decided to provide a more comprehensive overview of all sessions individually. Part 1/6 🌍 We were honored to have Szabolcs Horváth, Member of Cabinet for Olivér Várhelyi at the European Commission, discuss the support mechanisms available for stakeholders in the Western Balkans under the current Multiannual Financial Framework (2021-2027). The conversation aimed to showcase the opportunities provided by the EU for fostering growth and innovation in the region. 💡 For partners, the session provided a valuable opportunity regarding the wide range of collaboration options available under various programs, including Horizon Europe and EU4Health. These extend not only to stakeholders within the EU but also to non-EU Member State countries, such as those in the Western Balkans and Israel. This expansion opens up new horizons for international cooperation and innovation, offering promising prospects for growth. 🔬 In the discussion, cooperation prospects in the Western Balkans were explored, focusing on new funding mechanisms and initiatives for innovation and research. Emphasis was placed on adapting strategies to the developmental needs of partner countries. The European Universities initiative was highlighted as a key opportunity for collaboration with the region’s higher education institutions, aiming to address diverse development stages and foster meaningful innovation partnerships.
