MBHC believes that by building stronger connections and coordination of care, we can positively improve the trajectory, not only for the individual but also for our community, justice systems, and Missouri as a whole! Specifically, our Missouri Crisis Intervention (CIT) Team, Community Behavioral Health Liaison (CBHL), and Emergency Room Enhancement (ERE) programs work with local stakeholders to build stronger partnerships. MBHC is continually working to improve, advance, and grow our programs. Emergency Room Enhancement (ERE) programs, also known as emergency room diversion programs, are designed to reduce barriers that prevent individuals from seeking care in the most appropriate setting. The primary objective of these programs is to reduce the use of emergency departments and hospitalizations while decreasing rates of homelessness, unemployment, and arrests/law enforcement involvement by engaging individuals in treatment and utilizing community supports. Housing is healthcare!
At Alliance, we believe housing is health care and that’s why we have infused over $7.6 million to date into efforts to house the adults and families we serve. It takes a collective effort to house our most vulnerable individuals and that is why Alliance is pleased to showcase some of our inspiring success stories. This video is the first in a series of mini-documentaries outlining our work to support people experiencing homelessness. Over the course of the series, you'll hear from doctors, nurses, landlords, developers and advocates, as well as the stories of those that have experienced housing insecurity. https://ow.ly/VkLC50QE3jK

Happy Father's Day Much of the suffering and inequality in our community is caused by fatherlessness. Motherless children suffer in other important ways, but the data shows that fatherless children are more likely to be be devastated in a tangible way (suicide, homeless, prison). Our efforts to build a fair and better society must include lifting fatherhood up, strengthening the family, helping heal marriages, removing hazardous incentives, dealing with deadbeats, and organizing our custody system to incorporate this reality. The next generation depends on it! https://lnkd.in/e9mcZgq3
