Executive Communication Coach & Podcaster, TalkAboutTalk.com ▪︎ corporate workshops, keynote speaker ▪︎ INC. columnist ▪︎ personal brand expert▪︎ Coaching ambitious executives to communicate with confidence & credibility
When we were much younger, people looked out for us. They were looking for examples of our great work and they highlighted it. In school they graded us for it. In the first few years of our careers, our bosses looked for reasons to commend and promote us. But now as a mid or senior level manager, you must speak for your own work. You must establish credibility. You need your hard work and successes to be attributed to you. But at the same time, you don’t want to be seen as arrogant. Or selfish. Or boastful... I understand. This is a quandary, isn't it? So let’s talk about three ways to articulate your strengths and accomplishments: “Three Magic Words,” “Pivoting,” and “Own It.” More in this week's TALK ABOUT TALK - Communication Skills Training podcast episode.
