With MSMEs contributing a substantial number of jobs and the manufacturing sector forming a significant part of India's GDP, it's clear that these areas are critical for realising the vision of 'Viksit Bharat'. The projected growth of 8-10% for MSMEs in 2024, coupled with the potential to add 1-2 crore new jobs, showcases a vibrant future but what excites me most is how these sectors will redefine 'Viksit Bharat' which is the theme for 2024’s Republic Day. This throwback Thursday, we revisit a successful roundtable on Digital Transformation for MSMEs organized by DRISHTI CPS focusing on Industry 4.0 at Indian Institute of Technology, Indore. Aligning with the government's vision of Zero Defect Zero Effect(#zdze), the program aimed to promote the #digitalization of MSMEs. Over 80 participants including #industryleaders, #academicians and #entrepreneurs engaged in the discussions to understand technology bottlenecks, missing #skill sets and #collaboration opportunities. The program led to an understanding between academia and Industry where DRISHTI CPS can act as a bridge for #technologydevelopment and transfer, skilling and connecting startups to promote the digitalization of MSMEs and make India #industry4.0 ready.
