When you’re playing the infinite game, the question is not “how do we go faster?” It’s “how do we make sure we keep playing?” Since starting Meow 3 years ago, Bryce Crawford and I have had this conversation DAILY. Every single day, without fail, we ask this question. That’s how we were able to execute the successful pivot almost 2 years ago. Even though it was only a few weeks after raising a ~$22 million Series A, this North Star of building for the longest time horizon possible led us to that decision, and where we are today. And today, even when we’re growing at record pace, we focus on that question. When you play the infinite game successfully, your outcome is guaranteed. When you play for the next quarter, you will lose. It’s guaranteed. Stay in the game. Win the game.

Powerful. "If you are not being criticized you are playing it too safe." #HigherEd leaders give this a listen, this is a great example of how you can reimagine the most traditional of games. If we watch what our students are doing and change we what offer to meet their needs, instead of asking them to change to fit us, we can improve the college going rate. It really bugs me to read constantly that we are looking for best fit students. There are less and less best fit students every day. Instead, we should be "fitting" the student. #College #Admissions

How Banana Ball Was Born. Here I share the inspiration from developing a new game that I believed would be better for fans. It all started from watching fans leave games early. No matter how much entertainment we put into the game, fans still often had enough and would leave before it was over. We knew the only way to change this was to change the game and not only break the rules, but create new rules. And while we've been criticized along the way, we had a bigger vision for the game and what it could be for the players, fans and the future generations. It all starts with putting yourself in your customer shoes. For us, that meant going all-in on committing to being fans first, even if we knew we were going to be misunderstood by many.
