Democratic norms are being constantly attacked these days - internationally, federally, provincially and at the municipal level. More than ever, those threats are powerful and relentless. Authoritarian leaders, disinformation, misinformation, censorship, economic change and inequality, and political lobbying are at this very moment working to take away your rights and your voice. If we want to continue to have the democratic rights that we have been so proud of, and for which many before us have sacrificed, we need to to challenge the trends. Our challenge must be rooted in our communities, and we need to constantly connect across this great country and internationally. We must start to work no only to defend our democracy, we need to constantly fight to improve it. The attached podcast paints a most disturbing picture of lobbying in Canada.

Humanity needs fresh ideas and new political faces, representing mankind as a whole instead of fragmented political interests! The world has to grow together in order to urgently address the issues that impact all of us like conflict, climate change, inequality and forced migration together. This we can only do without any dominance, as equals. Collectively in Solidarity. www.convergence.ngo & www.pax.ngo
The hypocrisy is painful.. Journalist: “What would Britain do if one of our consulates was attacked?” Cameron: “We, we, we would take very strong action” I can’t actually believe that Skynewsuk.com presenter Kay Burley is asking the simplest of question of David Cameron.
