"But is your platform secure?" (tldr - yes). This question is asked both by people who are serious about data being secure in the Department of Defense, and those who want to hand-wave the issue and continue doing things with non-secure solutions. Personally, I'm not one to tell someone how much risk they should assume in where they put their data, but I'll be honest - I understand why practitioners have taken the path they have in choosing solutions that are not secure. You all have jobs to do, people to answer to, and service members who need a working solution. However, after significant investment by several organizations across the DoD, and (over) 4 years of working through the red tape, we are at the next stage. Secure fitness programming, nutrition tracking, wellness monitoring, learning management, educational content, communication, data dashboards, facility management (and more)... is here! TIAG® and CoachMePlus decided long ago we would take the high-road approach with the WP2 platform and did so with great risk, and incredible costs. We did it because we believed this was important, and now our service members get a solution approved by the DoD. I recently reached out to the Department of Defense to suggest incorporating Rate My Skillbridge into their Transition Assistance Program….. The DoD's response was no. While acknowledging our initiative, they pointed to their policy against endorsing non-federal entities. Completely Understandable—However, I created something the DoD should have created a long time ago. Despite the absence of DoD endorsement, Rate My Skillbridge has significantly impacted the veteran community by providing detailed reviews of Skillbridge programs and assisting hundreds in the research phase. Our platform, born from a commitment to aiding service members' transitions, demonstrates the value and necessity of supplementary resources in this space. Through direct feedback and engagement, we've shown how independent efforts can complement official services, playing a vital role in the broader ecosystem of veteran support. We need your help. We need reviews, we need to spread the word. Please share this platform with those who have completed their program, and those in the research phase. Ever heard of STRATFI? We’ve been hearing a lot about it recently at SDA. In order to bridge the gap between early small business investment and production/fielding of key technologies and capabilities, the Department of the United States Air Force created the Strategic Funding Increase or #STRATFI program. This effort connects military end-users and acquisition professionals, private-sector innovators, and investors, resulting in small business investment scaling efforts that facilitate delivery of strategic capabilities for the #warfighter. Through a STRATFI agreement, a small business can potentially increase their strategic funding upwards of $15M. STRATFIs require various levels of matching funding and create avenues for Defense and/or industry matching, depending on the program. More Cowbell Unlimited was awarded a US Army Phase 2 Small Business Innovative Research (#SBIR) grant worth almost $2M. In lay terms, our tech improves influence by helping leaders and brands decide when and how to engage. The #Army will use our cognitive arbitrage tech as an Information Advantage enabler. We will work closely with the Army’s #InformationAdvantage Program Office to advance our Phase I prototype. Cognitive arbitrage identifies and capitalizes on opportunistic moments within systems based upon changes in human cognitive states; fundamentally, the relationship between the variety of activities within a system and the human brain being in a state of overwhelm are related. The Army will use our tech to visualize the information environment, measure intent through tertiary systems, assess target audience movement, and make system predictions. We will collaborate with the Army’s PSYOP Proponency and the 56th Theater Information Operations Group (TIOG), as well.
