We all know that plastic is bad for the environment, but it's hard to stop using it when we're bombarded with it everywhere we go. One of the most straightforward ways each one of us can decrease our carbon footprint is to break the single-use plastic habit. In this age of conveniences, take-out food and beverages as well as delivered items often come in plastic containers. Everywhere we go, we see people drinking water from single-use plastic bottles. Take the single-use plastic challenge for a day! Increase that to most of the week, then incrementally build up to a month. You will see it can be done and you will have made a personal contribution to the maintenance of our planet! The challenge is simple: Go through a regular day but refrain from touching any single-use plastic item, whether it’s a bag or a bottle. #wellness #savetheearth #cleanplanet

We are supporting #EarthDay where the focus this year is on planet vs. plastics. Here are a few considerations... Think about your lunch packaging. Can you bring in lunch from home in tupperware, or find somewhere to buy lunch that uses less plastic packaging? Carry a refillable water bottle. Take a refillable coffee cup to your favourite coffee shop. Are there any other easy wins for plastic reduction in the workplace? #reduceplastic #saveourplanet

According to the European Environment Agency, by 2050, there could be as much #plastic (by weight) as #fish in the world’s oceans. It's a common #misconception that most plastics can be ♻ many times over. In practice, the majority of recycled plastics are only recycled once or twice before being finally disposed of in landfill or incineration. Making things worst, currently only less than 10% of plastic is being even ♻ When it comes to plastic then, the best policy is #REFUSE. At GreenPerks, our team is always looking for innovative ways to refill and reduce plastic waste. Today, let's join hands to embrace the refill revolution. Here are a few easy yet powerful steps we can all take to make refilling a part of our daily lives: 1. Bring Your Own Bottle. Carry a reusable water bottle and refill it throughout the day instead of buying single-use plastic bottles. 2. Refill Household Products. Use refill stations for household products like detergents, shampoos, and cleaning supplies. Many stores now offer bulk refills to cut down on packaging waste. 3. Use Refillable Coffee Cups: Bring a reusable coffee cup to your favorite café and ask them to fill it instead of using disposable cups. 4. Refill Personal Care Items: Switch to refillable containers for personal care products like lotions and soaps. Look for brands that offer refill options. 5. Promote and Support Refill Stations: Advocate for more refill stations in your community and support businesses that offer refill options. Let's make every day a refill day. Together, we can create a greener, cleaner future. 💚 #WorldRefillDay #Sustainability #GreenPerks #ReducePlastic #EcoFriendlyLiving #ZeroWaste

There is nothing like a yogurt aisle in France. And this picture shows a little less of half of it! The issue? Over 90% of the offering is in plastic packaging. 💡Did you know that there is a Great Plastic Garbage patch in the Pacific Ocean? It’s 520 thousand square miles. Like 2.5x the size of France. So, what can we do about it? #plastics #circularEconomy
