Interesting insight from the Zest team. Some Benefits Technology has definitely evolved more than others in recent years, particularly in ease of implementation and use of automation. There are also a lot more benefits available for employers to offer their employees. In terms of the future, AI is already having an impact, particularly on customer service and as Zest have said, hyper-personalisation is coming. One area that wellbean believes still needs to evolve is the core offering - there hasn't been a lot of change to the 'traditional' benefits package of PMI, Life, Pension, and 25 days holiday that is offered in the UK and yet research continuinally states that employees don't feel their benefits align to their own needs, but employers seem reluctant to make significant changes. Many startup companies are offering a different core benefits package that aligns better to their business and values so why aren't others following? We're not saying these benefits aren't great because they are, but are they right for every employee and employer? Probably not.
