Watch this. Super cool. Nice going General Motors and Shenan Reed. Couple of thoughts: ✅ Yes to the power of “show don’t tell”. Even the employee in the video was a little shooketh by the intuitive driverless system. That authenticity carries impact. ✅ Yes to tapping employees to be influencers for your brand. They can check so many boxes for the brand, buyers, and consumers alike. ✅ Yes to taking this further. Offer regular consumers a chance to be wowed by the same experience. Some watch outs: ❌ Not every employee wants to be in front of a camera (or visible in any way), so take care with this approach. Customizing your employee advocacy initiatives is a must and requires training/onboarding. ❌ Adding in a “multi-tasking” element/messaging to the driverless feature. I would search for alternate positioning around this (for instance, the insane reduction in your stress levels when taking your kid to college along I-95 on Labor Day weekend when you have driver assist doing most of the heavy lifting). #influencermarketing #employeeinfluencers #innovation
