This post from Steven really resonates with me and my reason for starting Chapter 2. Chapter 2 was born out of a problem I personally experienced during my time at OLIVER Agency, when it came to hiring. The talent eco-system Chapter 2 are building is our response to solving this issue. As Elon says, "You are paid in direct proportion to the difficulty of the problems you solve." Ask yourself, "What can I do for them, instead of what they can do for me?" Providing disproportionate value is the key to building a successful business. #TalentAcquisition #ProblemSolving #ValueCreation

My interview for the Men's Breakout Summit with Matt Fore debuted this morning and I pray it will challenge men to face their fear and do it anyway! ************************ ⭐ The Undivided Life of Jeff Schiefelbein ⭐ His #LinkedIn posts have logged millions of views, which is not surprising since he is a nationally recognized speaker and a corporate consultant. His approach to life is one we all should adopt. "I've typically taken the path of what I've been told emphatically is impossible." And the examples are numerous: 👉 He's successfully started companies, performed turnarounds, and sold companies while using a non-traditional approach to culture building, empowerment, and governance. 👉 He created and launched the nation's largest program to reduce drunk driving among college students. 👉 He has won many prestigious awards personally and with his teammates. 👉 The technology his team built 15 years ago revolutionized the world of deregulated electricity sales. And a few crazies examples, like: 👉 He auditioned for a part in an off-broadway play with no training whatsoever and beat out three hundred trained performers for the spot. But, let's back up... At one point he found himself in the hospital from such exhaustion that he couldn't even speak. And he began to understand that while it's admirable to be successful, success for Jeff needed to be redefined. Today Jeff finds success in helping others to create healthy organizational growth AND workplace excellence. He believes that strategy and culture are interlocking parts of the same whole and together they allow us to infuse dignity in the workplace while also creating superior products and services. He and his team at Undivided Life work with clients to Make Business Human. Corporate product and innovation executives: here are the best questions you can ask your teams who are creating new products and services: 1. What have you learned? 2. How do you know? If your teams are running Lean Startup, they'll respond to question 1 by stating precisely which critical assumptions have been validated/invalidated, and they'll respond to question 2 by citing evidence they've generated from market experiments (problem interviews, solution interviews, demand tests, etc.). If your teams aren't running Lean Startup, they'll likely respond with vague answers (e.g. "we're learning a lot") based on untested assumptions. #leanstartup #innovation #productinnovation #productdevelopment #innovationmanagement

It's the knowledge workers who turn visions into reality. (what do I mean?) Knowledge workers are the architects of exceptional results. Consider this: → Knowledge is power, especially in tech. → Exceptional results stem from exceptional minds. → It's not just about what we do; it's about how we think. At Wednesday Solutions, our team of experts exemplifies this every day. To read the complete story, you need to visit: https://lnkd.in/dsj3ZCty

"The only constant in life is change" – Heraclitus (or maybe it was Bowie? 🤔 ) We’re big fans of change here at PitchMe, especially the kind that makes your life easier. That’s why we've been working behind the scenes on some powerful updates to New Business Sourcing - small tweaks, big results! Here’s what’s new: 🔍 Glassdoor added We’ve expanded our sources to include Glassdoor, giving you access to over one million employers and the contact details of hiring managers with jobs that match your profiles. 🌍 Standardized Locations Say goodbye to frustrating search limitations! You can now search global locations without worrying about non-Latin characters (think Düsseldorf vs. Dusseldorf 😉). Strategic FracCFO for high-growth Startups & Small Businesses | Cohost of "The Growth-Minded CFO Podcast", powered by Upflow | Author of "The Daily CFO" newsletter - subscribe below!👇
After interviewing 30+ CEOs, CoS, and EAs from startups > Fortune500, we discovered ✨12 Key Questions✨ that maximize Offsite ROI: 👇 Here's a sneak peek at 3: 1️⃣ What are the broader business goals this year for the attendees of this offsite? ↘ Most planners know it’s important to ask about the goals of the ACTUAL offsite. But before our interviews, we didn’t anticipate how important it would be for planners to get context on the broader goals of the company. I was surprised to discover that planners - in particular, EAs - sometimes aren’t given the entire picture unless they ask directly! 2️⃣ What is the power dynamic between attendees? How will this impact our progress? ↘ One loud leader can set a conversation back and prevent everyone else from moving forward, especially if that voice is also the source of broader issues. Understanding power dynamics up front and designing a conversation with that in mind allows you to craft activities and discussions that empower unheard voices and awaken “aha” moments. 3️⃣ How will we know we were successful? How will we measure this? ↘ And don’t you dare tell me “surveys”! Successful events start by defining success up front. If you have fluffy or unclear ambitions, your resulting offsite is sure to also be fluffy and unclear…as so many are. This is just 3 of 12. Want to know the other 9? Later this year, we’ll make this list part of our “How to Plan a High ROI Offsite” package. But for now, we’re giving it away free as a beta test! Our only ask is that you USE it and tell us how it went :) ✨Comment “Questions” below & I’ll share the full list with you!✨ --- 👋 I'm Lauren. How a Conversation with Flagsmith’s Co-Founder Changed My Outlook I had the chance to attend the Disruptive Tech event in London by Civo, where I connected with incredible people from Cebros.dev, Flagsmith, and onAgent. I had a wonderful chat with both Kyle Johnson, co-founder of Flagsmith, and Keiran O'Brien. The event highlighted innovative technologies that define disruptive tech: finding gaps in the market and solving real problems. It was inspiring to see how these companies tackle challenges and position their solutions effectively. Kyle was humble and patiently listened to my questions, providing insightful responses. Here are 3 key lessons I took away from these discussions: Always upskill yourself ↳Continuously seek out new knowledge and skills to stay relevant in a fast- paced tech landscape. Practice active listening ↳Engage fully in conversations; it’s not just about speaking but understanding others' perspectives. Stay curious ↳Cultivate a mindset of exploration; don’t hesitate to ask questions and seek out new ideas. It was an enriching experience, and I’m grateful for the chance to connect with such brilliant minds. And now, to answer the question from my previous post: The average time a recruiter spends on a CV is just 7 seconds! This emphasizes the importance of crafting a compelling and concise CV. #Civo #DisruptiveTech #Learning #Innovation #TechCommunity #Networking #PersonalGrowth
