🌱 #greenhydrogen 💼 #investments 🏞️ #economicdevelopment How is Aragon promoting the development of green hydrogen? 💰 Aragon will receive 25% of the Hydrogen PERTE funds. Aragon is advancing as a key player in the development of green hydrogen, receiving an injection of €37 million for four projects in Caspe, La Zaida, Morata de Jalón and Zuera. This funding is part of Perte Erha, a strategic project for the recovery and economic transformation of renewable energies, renewable hydrogen and storage. Aragon stands out by taking a quarter of the funds allocated in the second call of the H2 Pioneers programme, managed by the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE). We want to maintain and strengthen the leading position of our region, making hydrogen a source of competitiveness for our companies and attracting investment to our territory, thus generating more economic dynamism, employment and wealth", says Mar Paños, Director General of Industrial Promotion and Innovation of the Government of Aragon. Today we had 2 very good news contributing to the global green hydrogen market formation: 1) Spanish TSO and future HSO Enagas, is starting a call for interest to collect the information from all the market players and determine the size and configuration of the future dedicated hydrogen transportation network. It is important because Spain is called to be one of the largest green hydrogen production countries in Europe and net exporter. 2) French Total Energies, announced a public tender for green hydrogen suppliers for a total amount of 500.000 Tons that contributes to substitute the grey hydrogen they are using in their refineries by green hydrogen by 2030.  In 2026 and 2027, CEPSA will launch 2 giant #green #hydrogen generation plants in #Andalusia, #Spain These plants will generate annually 300,000 tons of green hydrogen, which will be used to #decarbonize massive sectors like #industry, heavy road #transportation, air & #sea transportation. The project will prevent 6 million tons of #CO2 #emissions per year, and create 10,000 jobs in the Andalusian region #Andalusia is one of the places in Europe with the most competitive wind and solar photovoltaic generation capacity: +80% of the cost of #green #hydrogen production is derived from the cost of #renewable #electricity. In a slow and steady year for Energy Transition, it's great to see announcements like this! 🌱 DH2 Energy has received the green light from the Aragonese Institute of Environmental Management (INAGA) to build the Hysencia renewable hydrogen plant in Huesca. With an investment of €70-80 million, this project stands out as one of Spain’s most advanced in renewable hydrogen production. Spanning 100 hectares, the plant will feature 35 MW of electrolysis capacity and 49 MWp of solar power. ALEX SANTANDER REGARDING THE CHILEAN GREEN HYDROGEN ACTION PLAN: “It will be published in the coming weeks and focuses on territorial aspects and instruments to promote domestic demand” [H2News Plataforma Multimedia] The Chilean Green Hydrogen Action Plan seeks to define a roadmap between 2023 and 2030, which allows the deployment of this industry and its derivatives, through coordinated actions between the different Government portfolios and related organizations, in accordance with local and regional initiatives. We are about to know the result of the work of the Green Hydrogen Strategic Committee - the body that brings together former President Bachelet, former ministers such as Juan Carlos Jobet and Hernán de Solminihac, along with academics, regional authorities and scientists. The Minister of Energy, Diego Pardow, advanced part of his conclusions, marked by a more active role of the State and the government in accelerating the adoption of this new fuel. It is expected to advance in the creation of an 'enabling' regulation that encourages investments in this energy sector; promote the use of the new fuel in Chile; a public policy to form the human capital that is needed and territorial planning, in order to have green hydrogen development poles in different areas of the country, such as the Metropolitan Region, Quintero, Bío Bío, the mining north and Magallanes. H2News Plataforma Multimedia spoke in exclusive with Alex Santander, Head of the Policy and Studies Division of the Ministry of Energy, who announced on the GH2 Action Plan that is expected to be launched this week or next. Is the National Action Plan something new or does it correspond to an upgrade of the National Hydrogen Strategy? It is a public policy instrument that complements the Strategy, and also our Energy Policy. We always like to look at it like this, a set of instruments with specific focuses, and that are related to each other: policy, strategy and action plan. Therefore, this year we address a next level: the double click and what action each State agency has to take. If you want to see it in two words, organize and coordinate. The new Plan will bring very concrete actions, and there are even some analyzes and studies of things that we need to have to support decision-making. The Spanish Council of Ministers has allocated 794 million euros in direct aid to 7 large projects for the production and intensive use of renewable #hydrogen in industrial activities financed by the #EuropeanCommission.
