This week, our Chief Policy and Market Officer Daniel Fraile participated to a workshop on emissions of low-carbon #hydrogen organised by the Hungarian Presidency. Throughout the conversations with industrial and institutional stakeholders, he reiterated our main messages concerning the #LowCarbonFuels Delegated Act, namely: ➡ Ensuring a speedy adoption of the Delegated Act and simplicity of the rules. ➡Safeguarding consistence between the #RFNBOs Delegated Acts and the #LowCarbon Delegated Act by aligning the methodologies as much as possible and revising the RFNBOs Delegated Acts when the two do not match. ➡Sticking to technological neutrality in the Delegated Act to ensure all production pathways are adequately reflected. ➡ Creating a distinct regulatory framework that reflects the characteristics of dispatchable sources and enable low carbon hydrogen producers to sign PPAs with low-carbon electricity sources. ➡ Ensuring an equal recognition of all carbon removal solutions. ➡ Securing a scientific approach to accounting of hydrogen leakage, based on careful evidence based and fact checking processes.
