As a resident in The North, but who does use Dublin Swords quite often, I would like to congratulate the Govt on this initiative. I recently flew back from Amsterdam into Dublin and opted to use the Enterprise to get home. I was more than pleasantly surprised at how easy the booking system was, the quality of the service, the standard of the train itself, and how wonderful, well trained and efficient the train staff were!! Not to mention the very very reasonable price which convinced me not to take my car to Dublin instead. Rail is without doubt the environmentally sound way to proceed, but it MUST be convenient, accessible, reliable, of good quality and, value for money (I don’t want to use the word cheap here!!). If we are to change our mentality regarding rail, then all of the above MUST apply and all those old rail networks need to be reinstated to secure a viable, pricewise and accessible option to the general public for the future. Good luck with your plans!!

Great work on the report but I think the Cork to Youghal line should be included to ease the worsening congestion in East Cork.
